I think the BigBang and Seungri scandal is different to the AOA and Jimin situation.
The Burning Sun Scandal was activity that Seungri (and Yang) were more then likely taking part in, on their own time. All the members are adult men who lead separate lives & live by different morals. I personally don’t think we can confidently hold them responsible for illegal actions performed by a individual member in their personal life who had incentive to hide his dealings. However I understand if some people are suspicious for various reasons & aren’t comfortable with the rest of the members.
With AOA & Jimin this was a situation clearly happening long term within the group that everyone knew about & if working together could have stopped it. We saw for years other members being close with Jimin, have Mina’s own testimony & saw how the majority stayed to work with Jimin.
Personally I unstanned BB a month or so after they resigned with YGE. For me seeing all of them rejoin a company attached to & reasonably e involved in such exploitation & corruption spoke volumes about their character, whether it was indifference or complicity.
Frankly I don’t hold any of the BB or AOA members accountable for what they’re bandmates did, but for what they clearly did or didn’t do.
- Despite all the malicious activity attached to YGE all 4 BB members decided to resign. Make of that what you will.
- Jimin’s bullying of Mina was severe, open & persistent, yet none of the members acted in ways to end it or significantly decrease it. Make of that what you will.
