I still like kpop, don't get me wrong

but i'm starting to drop a lot of groups i like and such. It's getting so much for me to keep track of, and i always feel like i have to be so so so hyped for it when i just am not.

Now I think i'm only a serious I GOT7, with some remaining interest in NCT, Super M, Seventeen, Day6, and BTS. But I don't think I would ever keep up with their stuff unless it's posted in here. I feel bad though, cus i keep telling people "oh i'll check out that group" or "oh yeah i stan them" but in actuality i usually won't ever stan them or i won't really listen to their stuff.

I don't know; I think it's the fact that I find it so tiring to keep up with their shows, their personalities, who's who, literally so much going on. I listen to kpop, but i just don't find myself as interested in the groups personality wise anymore, and I don't listen to one song and then listen to more if I like them

I just listen to a song, if i like it i playlist it, but i move on, i don't stop and check in to see who they are anymore.

oddly i enjoy some of the shows even for groups i barely know any music of.

like i will watch some groups idle, loona used to watch 4 min especially weekly idol.

ahhh i like watching the weekly idol stuff, but i don't get much enjoyment if i don't know the idols, so i normally don't watch it. I like watching the dance segments tho lol

Why feeling guilty or bad? I see many people feeling guilty about not being on point with the newest groups and not stanning enough or whatever. Who cares, just have fun :).

People´s opinions and tastes change just like groups change. I think it is normal to change or tune down your opinion. Sometimes even your favourites have a bad period and no, you are not obliged to like all their albums. Sometimes, you just grow up and the groups stay the same.

Pff, why bothering. For example, I think the more kpop groups I discover, the less I like NCT. Should I feel guilty about it? I dunno. Maybe? Who is here to decide? I wish them all the best, but they are clearly not the best group in the area. At least, not in my area. I think they are all darlings and talented darlings, but listen, there are definitely better groups. The more I listen to kpop, the more I am cultivating my personal taste and some might just not fit in anymore.

I don´t know why people worry about not liking their bands enough or losing interest. Interests come and go and some stay and some don´t. Like .... have fun :D. You are all wonderful fans and your favs are lucky to have you.

I've been a casual stan for about a year or so now ngl. Even with bts, I'll watch their stuff casually when I have the time. It's only really when a new album comes out that I might jump on it right away.

A lot of it is just life and work taking priority these days and I'm much older

Are those of multifandom [Ugh I detest this word. It makes stanning more than two groups seem cheap and that your love isn't true] really watching every appearance or interview. People on KS, I know, at least in the past, have stanned or at least listed in their sig or gotten badges for a minimum of twelve groups. Am I to think that they are keeping close tabs on all of them. On a side note, I tend to find the survival shows pre-debut to show more personality of individuals than later appearances. I Stan Sana because of what I seen on Sixteen... Although that was a couple years after they debuted.. I'd never Stan because of personality alone..

On a side, side note Stanning is subjective and I don't believe on has to know everything about an idol or a group to stan. Music is more important than looks or personality. Sure those things are important, but music should always be the primary metric. No matter how hot [enter group here] is or how down to earth they are, it is not going to make their music good.. Plus aren't there ways of getting to know idols and groups that don't consist of wading through countless hours of variety shows. I mean Instagram, YouTube videos, and even other fan sites hold a wealth of knowledge about idols/groups.

I don't think when I was a super fan of any other artist in other genres that I held that much of an interest in personal information. Sure I know that T-Swift birthday is in December and that she can't hold a relationship for long, and that she isn't that crazy... But I don't know her favorite movie, or the name of her dog, or the shows she's binging currently on Netflix... A lot of these things husbands don't even know about their wives. lmao

Alas, all the things here are opinions and stanning might have a stricter meaning for some, but I don't think there is an objective standom, so I wouldn't say you're not a Stan if you don't watch every or any appearance.

@Jimin with all the groups in your sig you'd have to be unemployed to keep up to date on all appearances.
