The books that i read are all of the percy jackson books (the lightning theif, the last olympian, the sea of monsters, the titan's curse, the battle of the labyrinth, the lost hero, greek gods, the heroes of olympus, the demigod files, the son of neptune, the house of hades, the mark of athena, and greek heroes), Some of the stephen king books (Dreamscapes and Nightmares, Everything is eventual, and Gerald's tale), I read the 2 narnia books (The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe and prince caspian), i read the book dolly parton, the book royce royals, the first 3 books of miss peregrine's home for peculiar children series (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, and Library of Souls), I read the Christmas edition bible, i read the cat and the hat, and i read the manus chase series (the sword of summer, the gods of asgard, the hammor of thor, and the ship of the dead)

I would say in the manga category of books then I think you might like noragami

Well, a wide variety it seems bust mostly YA correct? You might like The Lunar Chronicles. Six of Crows. A Curse so Dark and Lonely. Ink & bone by Rachel Caine (R.I.P). Renegades also by Marissa Meyer.

The Last Vampire (Thirst) is a good series in a twisted sort of way that weaves in Indian mythology. Its marketed as YA, but its very mature and more cohesive than a lot of YA... Also The Raven Boys and The Mortal Instrument series were good.

I'm not as prolithic a reader as @RandAlThor , but I did read The Eye of the World and it was pretty good.. You could take a stab at GRRM books too and perhaps R A Salvatore's stuff too.. Hey @RandAlThor have you read the legend of drizzt trilogy?

Also, I like fantasy but I've moved on more to suspense and thriller books like stuff written by Riley Sager but his stuff is more on the Adult side of the spectrum. So if you want to venture out maybe check out his books. But I would read them in order of release because his writing gets better with each book. Also, I would maybe check out Ruth Ware's the Turn of the Key.

I like slow build stuff but with great twists of some sort.

Did you read the Percy Jackson Spin offs? I am in the middle of the first magnus chase book. Its not bad. Also, Stephen King's IT and Under the Dome is good.. The Last Vampire (Thirst) is a good series in a twisted sort of way that weaves in Indian mythology. Its marketed as YA, but its very mature and more cohesive than a lot of YA... i have the entire drizzt series in the big trade paperback or hardcover sets.

I might add Mistborn trilogy it is on the older end of YA(female lead) and the Wax and Wayne follow up's
The steelheart series by Brandon Sanderson is popular among the YA folks in my family.
his Skyward series is in progress also female lead.
Hunger games is interesting female lead and ofc end of the world drama
potter ofc if ya have interenst and have not watched the movies.

oh and the Egypt series(Kane Chronicles ) is only 3 books if you want to try that I like it much more than the chase series or the Apollo series both of which i stopped reading.

GRRM is much more dense and bloody and just over the top personally i only read book 1

oh and some of the kids liked the Pittacus Lore I am number set.

Apollo wasn't too bad but, chase felt like check box characters after like the 3rd book and i felt that style would bleed into the rest of Apollo.
I really hoped for more from what he said was his favorite mythos.

its too bad he was one of the authors i took family to see as I shared my love of reading with em.

interestingly the rest of the fam burned out before i did.

They really like both Brandon's (Sanderson and Mull)

While I've only begun reading Magnus Chase. I feel like Riordan is plugging origin stories into different personality typologies.. Percy Jackon and Magnus have a dead beat dad... Wow.. Didn't see that coming.

Seems you like YA/Fantasy a fair bit.
In that regard, Six of Crows would be perfect for you alongside it's sequel Crooked Kingdom.

If you wanna make the jump to more mature/adult fantasy, the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson is a pretty good starting point as it bridges the YA/adult fantasy pretty well. If you like it, you can move on to more stuff like The Stormlight Archive or @RandAlThor's favorite series :p The Wheel of Time eventually.

If you want urban fantasy, The Dresden Files is pretty great, gets you all your supernatural fix but there's just too many books in the series.

Wow, you read Rachel Caine-i always wanted to get into her (i think) weather with/warden series but nvr did. Do you hv a recommended list of rachel caine books/series [other than wat u wrote here-,ink & bone]. (I was sad to read abt her passing in a science fiction literature website i follow, it seemed too soon. I knew abt her in the mid/late2000s so i thot her age was in 20s/30s, i was surprised to read her age but iv forgotten exactly how old it was tat i read then.)

Actually, that is the only series I've read by her tbh and yeah I was beyond sad when I heard the news. I'm reading the final book in the series right now and may explore her other works later on.

Marie Lu’s Young Elites blends in some dark fantasy with an almost renaissance Italy setting which is very cool

Also @VergereSone Ballad wasn’t too too great, but it wasn’t awful either: it felt flat which is expected for a prequel

I personally hvnt read ballads as i only read the trilogy ONCE, many yrs ago after i watched the 1st movie when it came out on dvd n needed to know the outcome ASAP, but i prefer JLaw to the books, just thot id mention Ballads.(to make my earlier post Not OT)LOL

Sounds interesting but i need to read n finish books 2 & 3 of these 2 otherseries before i even start thinking of trying a new fantasy series:
1) Poppy War saga by R.F. Kuang
n 2) Jade trilogy [Green Bone saga but i only found out now 2 titles in print , maybe 3rd still being written/unfinished] by Fonda Lee {dint mention in my earlier post cos im not sure OP might like em}

(Also a series by my country-woman abt a sorceror in alternate England, Sorceror to the Crown by Zen Cho n its sequel the True Queen(a third book may be being written/planned for a trilogy, im not sure)-think similar to Jonathan Strange n Mr Norrell but different]

Back to OP, Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik a retelling of Rapunzel (loosely) also Uprooted by Naomi Novik also a retelling of a fairyvtalemaybe not this, i forget the plot n googling it on second thot just No.

Theres so many books n series iv read but the book thread by noganono is ded n buried.(no one seemed to read my posts there it seems my reading taste is too far from the kpop listening readership).only rand here reads fantasy tat kinda overlaps with my reading taste but my fave ASoIaF is diametrically different from WoT(Wheel of Time)oh well
