If you have finished college/university or are currently in college/university, what is/was the college experience for you? Did/do you go to many parties? Do you just study? Or something in the middle?

Personally, when I was in undergrad I was offered to join a fraternity, but I chose not to, because, well, I run more to the highbrow and it would not mix well... Much of my undergrad was taking 15-17 credit semesters (4-5 classes per semester) unless it was summer which would be 9 credits (3 classes).. Much of my time was also spent pursuing a potential internship. So my experience was mostly work and studying. I didn't engage in extra curricular activities much; although, there was this group on campus with whom I went on a weekend retreat with..

When I went to college I did two years at a community one and basically, it was like high school. I made friends, but they weren't life long ones because I wasn't functioning and doing adult things with them. I was just in class with them and then gone. Then my last two years I went to a college and stayed on campus living in a dorm. In my third year, I didn't interact much. Then my last year I went to parties, went to school functions hammered, and had the time of my life.

Also, I tried studying but my ADHD, boredom, and everything it didn't work well.

I spent most of my time being highly depressed and studying
Highly depressed because you're studying or highly depressed apart from studying.

^same.. There were only a few that I talked to outside of class and those were mostly because of they being in the same field as I was. There was this guy who I was friends with who was a jock [I think playing soccer is a jock sport right] and he was strangely uptight... Or maybe i'm just too invasive. lol

55% in the art building, 20% at dance practice & performances, 25% in my room. Never did homecoming unless I had to perform. Didn't have friends; the one friend I had we just stopped talking after freshman year. Did one internship my final semester. Found a love for computer-aided making. Learned badminton, one of my favorite courses behind Love, Sex, and Relationships. Spent a lot of time alone, and learning to love and accept my introversion. Avoided anything Greek life. Celebrated the end of each semester with pizza, alcohol, and a good K-Drama or Bollywood movie.

I had (and still have) a pretty serious procrastination problem, so I spent most of my poorly managed time working on something or another. I also went to a relatively small college and most of the parties were lame. Funny to watch drunk people show up the next day with road rash and a black eye, but that's about it.

Uh, I went to one party that I remember and it was just...so, so bad that I cut out early and went to my room to watch anime, lol, legit. Tried the anime club, but the people there were the type to yell out everything that was gonna happen in the anime before it happened, so =D. Tried the GSA club, but the less I say about that the better. I actually had the most meaningful interactions in study groups and during the times when the people on our floor would get together and chill. Oh, that and my karate classes, which were fun.

But yeah, I spent most of my time doing research and writing papers. It just seemed like always because I...........procrastinate. Made A's though :wimwim:

Erm... At my university GSA was Gay Straight Alliance. Is that what you are referring to?

For me it was 90% studying. My "friends" were my lab partners who I only spent the semesters with and spoke to during class and then lost contact with once the semesters ended. I had two plans for after graduation and both required excellent grades so I didn't take any chances with my studies and did my best with everything. So I basically spent all my time studying and when I wasn't, I was working or hanging around the forums. As for clubs, I joined the volunteering club and the religion club. I participated in some activities for both but overall didn't really do much. For volunteering it was mostly just hanging out at the retirement village and the religion club (Islamic Society) we mostly just prepared BBQ fundraisers and prepared seminars with guest speakers/lecturers at the uni. But I only participated in both for like 1 semester and then I just focused on my studies.
