nah, they were already postponed for 2 years, investors were already mad and pushing for their debut ever since the 1Q debut delay
wait any longer, and the smcu would get messed up + they might not hold on to their debut team—I still don't believe Lami got dropped from the lineup, they've been prepping her to become the "little Sulli" since sr13g back when rv were rookies, and losing ningning would really really hurt
ais were done ages ago, mv filming was already underway august, debut confirmation was made in 1Q, sm couldn't really back out of it
with the amount of time it took for their prep, it makes no sense for them to debut as a coverup: some of the teaser dates were too planned almost (ningning on her 1500 srg reveal anniversary, giselle on her birthday... doubt those were entire coincidences)

I felt like she personally got tired of traine life and left while sm wanted her
compared to literally everyone in debut teams who got cut, she’s the only one iirc to not frequent dance studios/or post a lot of singing videos
she’s young too, and easily had the biggest fanbase (literally trended on weibo for no reason after two years of inactivity), and sm invested a lot more in her, makes little sense imo for sm to have cut her since her image wouldn’t even clash with what they were going for with aespa

Honestly I don't believe that! If RV was a cover up group, then I mean.... there was a LOT of shit going on in SM at the time with idols leaving and suing etc!
The scandals they had the end of 2020 are nothing compared to that!

Not to mention there isn't really anything about the debut that looks particularly rushed, so even if it was pushed up a bit, it couldn't have been more than like a month.

On top of all that, SuperM's MV already teased them in september

I'mma have to disagree there. The camera quality, the multiple high-budget sets, the graphics, the animations, and the various expensive clothes are definitely not cheap.
