I personally used to hate it, but now i thrive on it. There's this spicy ramen i get and it's *chef's kiss* I can take pretty spicy stuff; ill definitely cry during it but it's just so GOOOD

I was the same. I used to have the hardest time with spice and never enjoyed the burn of it. But now that I'm older I enjoy it a lot and enjoy how it makes me sweat and clears up my sinuses. It's great. There is something oddly wonderful about being able to eat spicy shit.

I feel like I get BDE from doing it.

Yep i almost always have fresh jalapenos or Serrano preppers to add to my food. and they has be 5 bottles of hot sauce within 2 steps of the stove and fridge.

I have on occasion put too much wasabi on my sushi (inducing the crazy coughing :) ) also.
Also bottles of Horseradish in the fridge too .

i drain everything in sriracha, even though sriracha isnt that spicy for most people (I THINK?)

I love spice and if I go somewhere with spicy food, you can bet I'm ordering it extra hot. Indian food? I better see chili seeds everywhere. When I go for hot pot, I order spicier than they offer on the menu, to the point the kitchen staff has, in the past, come out to see who exactly orders their Mala that hot. 🤣

Honestly, it's the best, though living in the Midwest where people tend to find black pepper to be too much means I usually have to seek out specific ethnic foods to get my fix. Makes it that much more satisfying, though, when I do get it. Honestly if my lips don't burn and my nose isn't running, it's not hot enough.

It depends, I have a very low tolerance for spicy food and in most cases completely avoid it. My only exceptions are tandoori chicken, because the other seasonings make it worth eating - and some other Indian dishes that my grandmother makes. You never realize how much of a wuss you are when it comes to spicy food until you've truly had food made in India lol, I don't understand how my family eats it so peacefully whenever we visit

Yes. I sort of have built up a tolerance at this point though. I'm not dumb enough to request the maximum spice level on a dish at my neighborhood Thai restaurant, but eating habaneros is no problem to me nor are jalapenos or wasabi.

Yes, I like it. I mean for an European, my tolerance is quite good but I'm quite sure I would lose so bad against people more used to eat spicy food.
