Yeah it did get hacked. Last I heard their request to leave was denied unfortunately, and Dojoon enlisted in July of last year so I don’t see anything happening with them for quite a long time sadly.

Isn't that the truth! Hell, Pristin V remains one of my fave gg units. Get It was amazing.

I think Fromis_9 was doing well, on the right track and then the company just gave up to focus on IZ*ONE exclusively. The Produce and Idol School scandals didn't help either.
Still, IZ*ONE resumed activities like normal after a short hiatus while Fromis_9 have moved to the 1 cb a year schedule after Love Bomb which was when they were at their hottest. You'd think they'd capitalize on the momentum. Gyuri has been in a few web dramas and such but other than that it's been very few activities a year.

Somi has so much wasted potential and TBL aren't really doing anything for her, imo. I don't think she's the type of idol that can be mysterious and unattainable to her fans.

Aespa will be fine don't worry, SM will be investing heavily into them. They're already getting photo shoots with luxury brands. Also Red Velvet is coming up on 7 years this year and their schedule won't be too busy anymore, so the new group becomes more active while the old ones slow down. It's classic SM.
And even if it turns out Aespa don't immediately do well, SM will keep at it until they do. It works out eventually.

Agreed about Somi but it's just how YG/TBL do things. She could've been doing a lot more.

Yeah I think both PD48 and Idol School had confirmed rigging but Idol School also had complaints about how the trainees were treated, their living conditions, how their diets were controlled and so on.
Regardless, they were pretty active in 2018 and Love Bomb kinda blew them up on a small scale, but then nothing. Even their sales for their latest cb have kinda been around the same level, not really grown. Newer groups like Weeekly and StayC have caught the public attention and will likely surpass them.

Idk that it's a point of pride to coast to the seven year mark on silence, tho. Better to disband than string fans along hoping for more that will never come.
