i didn't expect this song to be fully in english i knew gone was but not on the ground. i loved the MV! rosé is so gorgeous the verses and prechorus were great, but i wish there was more going on in the chorus than the beat drop. i didn't like that at all i think i'll just pretend it's not here :wonugl:

I'm the opposite, I thought the verses did 0 to highlight how amazing Rosé's voice can be, having like a fast speaking "rap" part and then one where she doesnt really do anything melodic with her voice. I loved the high note at the end tho, wish she was given more permission to sing more varied (like she does at the last verse/bridge, whatever u wanna call it before the high note) since the verses are pretty monotone?
The pre-chorus is nice and the drop is classic Jon Bellion so I liked it a lot actually, which doesnt happen with most YG drops.

Little miss Americana Taylor Swift is shaking as she might lose her throne when it comes to "I am a victim" type of songs in the west. Rosé is stunning, the MV is gorgeous, the song is basic.

i loved the verses but i agree that they didn't do much when it comes to highlighting rose's vocals which is something i was hoping for in the chorus, unfortunately didn't happen. i can't comment much on the drop because i have no idea who jon bellion is

I thought it was okay. Immediately in the first verse, sound and flow-wise, I thought of Taylor Swift. Not a bad thing, just an observation.

it was nice and simple. I too am a fan of fuller choruses, but the Lack of one didn’t hurt the song for me. It’s a nice debut solo, I think.

BUT
is it just me or were there some scenes she was barely moving her lips and it looked like she was speaking softly whilst in the background you actually hear her SING
like the singing and what i saw her do in some scenes did not match, thought that looked a bit off
like when you hear someone really sing, its only logical to see a mouth that shows that
it looked like she was just talking in some scenes but the song at them moments did not sound like she was talking, sound like she was singing

As for the song, it was strictly okay/decent, Idk, I can't bring myself to feel strongly about it one way or the other. Her voice sounds great, but the verses and chorus are too basic, that beat drop is too unnecessary and just lazy from YG at this point
The song is pleasant, not something I'll actively seek out to play or anything.
Idk, it's standard BP fare for me. I guess Lovesick Girls was the exception, where I actually really liked a BP song after a long time.
