Wow fx never had relative popularity compared to the other groups.

TVXQ as 5 were nuts then 2 happened and they never hit those numbers.

The members know their worth on their own, but they know they're strongest when they're EXO. Even Yixing when he's getting awards in China always mentions his member, and EXO when they attended awards mentioned him too.

....I agree with most of what you said, but honestly Yixing's popularity on his own should not be put aside.
The VAST majority of his fanbase these days aren't EXO fans, but his fans alone.

The reason he mentions the other members is because he loves the group, not because he needs the group or because he somehow depends on them. All the fame he has right now... well... most of it isn't due to EXO.

Oh I totally get his insane popularity, I just meant in the sense that he still feels like he's part of EXO rather than an exclusive soloist (no matter what his solo fans think) Even though EXO haven't promoted in China since 2016, EXO have still maintained popularity. Even when Chen announced him getting married and becoming a dad, Chinese fans were in the majority supportive and still love him. EXO have loads of akgaes, but the members haven't let it go to their heads and takeover.
