The disbandment itself seems to be a case of Hybe ditching them for the NGG from what I can understand but anything outside of that just confuses me as it's not comparable to any other contract termination otherwise.

I'm not sold on the idea of them being able to get together as there's a lot to doing that but the media keeps describing it as a closing of a chapter rather than them disbanding and that's not something I recall ever seeing.

This was definitely the biggest contract termination in a while and unless someone speaks about what happened will probably end up as one of the bigger mysteries in Kpop

the girls were really active and posting stuff every week.

Don't think it's really possible to top Jessicas removal from SNSD but I struggle to think of much else that could beat how shocking this was otherwise

Tbh, this entire disbandment is really weird, idk if they are trying to be sentimental to Gfriend or if they really hitting at something. However, I am almost convinced that they were going to renew their contracts by how much their company and them appeared to be thinking ahead with memberships and activities, etc. I also wouldn't be surprised if their fans are beyond pissed at HYBE rn. I had a good feeling that their merge to one company would be a shitty idea at some point.
