    So I just saw the trailer for the Prime adaption for WOT and... well... I might have liked it better if I haven't read the books. Its just a trailer, but I was underwhelmed. Did you see it? What'd you think?

    My problem with LOTR is the characters. The visual are stunning.

    He destroyed Frodo and Aragorn.
    Frodo was this scared hapless fool hearing voices telling him what to do . that is a far cry from some who knows teh job is too big but chooses to do it anyway.

    Strider was this conflicted 90's guy who was unsure of himself until zena put some spine in him. When in reality he was over 80 and had spent decades preparing to lead and be king.

    Then what he did to TT and RoTK was just ... lol my younger sister called me up after reting it asking if Frodo would do X ( because it disturbed her so) i assured her no he would not and very glad for my the sake of my BP that i never saw it )

    eh, movies may be flawed, but... we could all hope to aspire to have a beard like Saruman.


    For Strider it sounds like that movie was trying to be feminist, but failed miserably... and the only zena I have time for is a warrior princess...

    alexa pretty much any girl if it happend to be a Weekly soobin or jiyoon, Wendy,2,3, or the wjsn members i need that would be cool but any girls is fine.

    I like Fellowship when it first came out. I was around 8 then and I was salty about the fact that my brother and his gf wouldn't buy me popcorn and a beverage. But I still enjoyed it. I, however, never saw The Two Towers or ROTK. Same with the Hobbit films. I saw the first one enjoyed it and only saw a little bit from the second... I find it rather annoying when Hollywood takes a book [very short one at that] and sees fit to extend it into three 2 and a half hour films... I did have to watch Fellowship again during my World Mythology class, since the class was based on the premise of the hero's quest and Froto's journey fit that mold. lol

    The thing with WOT though is that this is likely to be the only adaption that would be made as opposed to Hobbit and Narnia which have had a few previous tv/movie adaptions, which one could fall back on.. And then there's the obvious that they will definitely scale back on the more controversial parts of the piece. Like with GOT, in the books daenerys was 13 when she was "given" to Khal in marriage who was 19.

    To be fair though I think fans of WOT are going to be older regardless of when they started reading the books since its a lot more diverse [in terms of world building and the plot] than pre-teens and emerging adults are likely to read or have read. Eye of the World is like what 800 pages, the same as 2-3 YA books.. I [to contextualize this] wasn't reading longer books like that until I was around 18 when I read IT... and there were definitely parts of that book where I was just reading like a zombie because I was really f****g bored with it; most of it is good, but there are segments where it felt like Stephen was filling pages with inane parts of the daily lives of characters that I could care less about... Have only seen the 90s adaption and not the recent one since Skarsgaard as IT doesn't strike me as remotely scary as the guy from the 90s was. But I was 5 when I was forced to watch it, so... goggles of nostalgia. lol. But I digress. My point: To dumb things down to fit a younger demo would be extremely stupid since fans of such books will be older and introverts. Hopefully not likely to be offended by something that occurs that is a mismatch with their current ethics since fantasy books tend to be in societies that have more in common with medieval and ancient times than they do post-industrial revolution.

    Rand, hey i dint even rlly want the Naeun Rare rn, but Yili gave a deal for 2 unwanted 4th batch cards i couldnt pass up.

    Would you take on debt for my Apink Naeun Rare card?(Taeyeon nor CLC arent my priority rn, unless you would give up Yuju /Umji Rare for Naeun Rare? Hypothetically). It would be for a Rare Card excluding any u collect/tat would get u complete 2nd batch Rare set? Think it over n lemme know(since idk anyone else interested in Naeun Rare rn, so id hv to collect the set myself otherwise or it would just lie lonely in my locker) thnx jen jen.

    This would work to limit ur possible pulls in next weekly Rare quest, just sayin.

    Tldr: Naeun Rare for debt (payable after Abe completes OMG Rare), for Rare card u arent collecting/tat helps u complete ur Rare set? [Would be nice if u would to include Yuju/Umji Rare in the hypothetical debt but not necessary).
