What confuses me is that the page I linked has a full summary of the press conference and doesn't mention that. So where have people gotten that? I'm not saying she didn't say it, but I want to know the root source they're pulling from.
Well... Hitman Bang himself, right? I saw a recent thread claiming he was a co-founder of JYP, but as far as I know, he was just an in-house producer.
Anyway, so, the conference...
This was not how I expected Babymonster to achieve world domination, but I have to hand it to YG and his employee MHJ, they definitely played the long game.
This just gets crazier and crazier.
Thinking Riize copied NewJeans is kinda bonkers enough but, presumably trying to investigate SM staff is beyond unhinged.
God Bless MHJ, probably the most entertaining figure in the industry atm
The thing is that I know for a fact I've heard the first three albums, so it doesn't narrow it down much, plus we're talking about like 15 years ago or something.
I'll probably listen to all of them tomorrow. Maybe they won't sound as strange in 2024 lollol.

This article claims that in a meeting, MHJ claimed that TWS and Riize are also NewJeans copies. And that she was known for saying that BTS was also copied from her (presumably Exo?).
It's probably not true, but I want it to be because...
This is utterly bonkers.
I can see how MHJ might feel some kind of way about not getting 100% proceeds of her work and having the parent label copy her vision.
But like, the same thing happened to Teddy and you just know he's just peacefully lounging in the Black Label rec room, smoking weed...
Liking these two lately (same director)
Probably my favourite ever one is Pearl Jam's Do the Evolution, but I'm putting that under a cut with a warning that it's extremely upsetting and has content that might be triggering for some people
