The only parallel I can draw was when I was sent to summer camp and they basically took the clothes we brought with us and said that we could only wear the clothes they provided us with. Which were basically t-shirts and jeans... but any shirts that endorsed alcohol, cigarettes, or gambling were...

lmao... but still cultural habits persist.. If not I would have been wearing flip flops by now since I moved to Western US 5 years ago... and everyone wears them here and I cry every time I see it.
