certified velvet classic

main page Hey y’all. This is a rules page my End of Year (eoy) tournaments that I host Nov-Jan, specifically rules for selecting a song for the Song of the Year (soty) and B-side competitions, and some for participation. ‘Velvet, why the hell do we need these rules?’ Because having two...

Yes I gave it a name now! This is the main page for the End of Year (EOY) tournaments hosted by yours truly, namely the Song of the year (soty) and B-side tournaments. This is just to log past events and in general talk about the tournaments if anyone wants the space. For any confusion on the...

Despite some of you guys knowing some personal details (where I am, age, what I'm studying etc.) I'm not someone to announce any life updates but this one feels important enough to share. I got my diagnosis in August of this year. I've known I may have had autism from last year (my uni friends...

Yes this is actually happening. If you're aware of how the 2025 soty tournament works then you'll be prepared for this. Same rules apply: You can only enter two songs, no duplicates, K-pop adjacent acts are accepted as long as they have promoted in Korea this year. This time though I only...

@fairyOfshampOO brought up the idea and I'd like to do it, but I'll only do it if a good group of people do also want it. It'd maybe start some days/a week after the soty tournament, same rules apply just no singles this time. Would you participate or is one enough?

@Selfmate asked if Golden can be added and I honestly am decisive over it. My main criteria for the submission is they were promoted/relevant in Korea (and by extension the K-pop sphere), which Golden was/is, though my main reservation is that it's more of a western soundtrack than an actual...

WE RUNNING IT BACK! 2024 2023 Each user can enter two songs that they believe is the most enjoyable from this year, and we vote, no user can enter the same song (just for variety), songs accepted are from Dec '24 to Nov '25. Title tracks, pre releases and follow-up singles are allowed to be...

I always feel like I'm going crazy with the amount of gender segregation there is in K-pop and amongst the fandom in particular. Like I know there are different standards between them but at the end of the day a bg song could be a gg song and vice versa. Like what's stopping a the wind song...

Stolen this format from everyone This is a top 12 and not ordered cause I'm chill like that :3 One song per act. It was a pretty good year though I was pretty disconnected and alienated from many of the hits this year. That being said, for the first time in a while I started following a few big...

link to tumblr here Hellooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a space to document and record my English interpretations of K-pop songs (which, before the 7th of December 2024, were uploaded here). This introduction post is for niceties and notes. Below this introduction post is the date index then the...

... I did not want this to happen. "Why Velvet? TXT are a great group" You are correct. But I still have my problems with them! If anyone here remembers me before getting into Cravity you knew I hated Cravity for personal reasons. Not that I hate TXT but I associate them with some people in my...

@Luvity @dimanche (especially) All spiritual beings are welcome here as I translated the first minute or so into the holiest language of them all, the Romans!!!!!!! I'm still fairly new to Latin so like, feedback is appreciated, and because of my lackluster knowledge a lot of the lines do...

So, I'm not the one to create whole posts praising a group which isn't apart of my stanlist, but I'm making an exception. I relistened to ZB1's newest album again and I realised something, there's no skips. Not even one song I don't like on there. It's all good. Like Melting Point is so cute...
