Being a stan of Weeekly I don't really mind especially because Monday expressed wanting to do more concepts like this. As long as the song is good and it is then they can release whatever concept they want to especially if it's what the members want to do

Apinks company tried with Hush to push it and fans pretty much forced em to Bubibu and then came the monsters. No No No , Mr chu and luv.

Personally I prefer their other titles but I prefer darker titles in general, I mostly only like cute titles from nct dream, clc and weeekly

you could make an argument about it, but kpop albums seem to be selling better and better in general, and for 4th gen ggs in particular - cherry bullet sold 8.3k with love in space during their first day compared to 5k during the first week for their previous release

I think what Rand was trying to say is that because of pre-orders an album can be successful without anyone hearing it so whether this comeback grew their fanbase could only truly be seen if the next comeback is still even bigger

As for the concept change itself then ones like this are generally a case of trying to get better results by going in a different direction and it can work but I think unless you stand to lose nothing like EXID were at a point where it was either succeed or disband then it can still be a lot of risk.

almost always as i have watched kpop, album sales have very little to do with the actual current album.

Sometimes crazy happens like with brave girls , momoland and EXID. but even then its digital that spikes most real time.

newbie groups that sell a ton have monster companies , tv shows or some other external driving force.
Existing groups build on momentum or not in the case of pristin, gugudan and other groups that just faded out.

Tbh I don’t mind them trying new things and concepts if they want to but ven para was ok but might grow on me. I liked the chorus, pre-chorus and beginning parts but not the whole thing
