Came to think of it... Taeyeon hasn't promoted on music shows since Fine in March 2017....
Make Me Love You, This Christmas, Something New..... none were promoted

I'm assuming it is her choice but it's kind of sad she doesn't promote. I hope she wants to promote again. I don't think it will be with this though since it's a digital single album, but one can hope

Yea, but its so counter intuitive if all sm cares about is the money Why do they leave so much of it on the table so often with its GG.
Taeyeon has not promoted an album since My Voice when that clearly drives sales.
yet she has done 3(?) different concert tours.
Fx despite easily have enough fans for a 4k venue by say Danger ES era no concerts.
Crazy decisions with BoA.
R V Music targeted to subsets of fans only.

SM hasn't managed their GGs properly since SNSD 2010-13. They did a phenomenal job in those 3 years with SNSD. Not so much F(x). It's just been downhill from there. The way they manage RV is so blatantly bad that it even makes non fans like me frustrated lol.

Her albums have seen a decline in sales over the years. Her last two didn't even get to 80K, I think. Which isn't bad at all. But then again Taeyeon was easily selling over 100K with her first two minis.

For me that is lack of promotion. IU can do whatever she wants and it works. The same is not true for others.
All the other soloist promote the songs unless its a OST that just goes nuts, but even then they may start doing lives.

Party/ Lionheart were not quite as weird. ICC and Dumb dumb went well, as did 4 walls 2015 was ok. And I was super successful for Taeyeon.

I really think trying the NCT deal has really messed up SM. They are not staffed with the correct folks to handle what amounts to 10+ BG.

I would say its time for the CEO deal to change go back to one person.
The music branch did crazy sales yet the company under preformed that is the CEO's job.
Stock holders should be after them.

I feel it Taeyeon’s decision to not preform. Like up to Fine she had a CRAZY schedule and mental she was exhausted I felt 2018 was her break year while at the end of 2018 shit got funny with SM and I guess she just releasing this song for her so very I guess 😓

This whole promotion tactic reminds me of Holiday which is why I think there might be chance we'll hear news of Taeyeon leaving SM soon.
