The real question here is why they submitted it to the UK Government instead of whoever organizes KCON...

I have no idea! I hope there will be something like a KCON soon though, if not, then some of us will have to have meetups lol

im assuming its bc f(x) set the bar too high and everyone else is too intimidated to go



seriously tho i think that's the last kpop convention/festival they did in the uk...hopefully they organize something again

edit: exid went to one in 2017. i think they do it every year.

They do?? I've never heard of one...

There are kpop events in the UK but no KCON. KCON only occasionally adds other countries and the last time they were in Europe was Paris in 2016. It really doesn't make much sense to hold an event in the UK if there isn't the demand for a ton of groups. Mainland Europe would be far more likely but again, they won't add it. Right now they're focusing on Japan, US East & West coasts, and Thailand.
