Other than Bella it is hard for me to dislike characters unless there is absolutely no growth. I am used to many characters acting like a**holes and don't really hold it against them unless its excessive. But some characters I hate that other people really love. I don't like Draco. Even though a lot of people feel bad for his situation.

I think i dont read books where i dislike characters, or i dont continue reading a book if i dislike em while reading. Or iv forgotten abt it cos i reread my favorite books but not so much unliked books.

Tat said i do hv lesprit descalier moments of thinking i dislike a character while looking bk on it such as Tywin Lannister in ASoIaF, or Rhaegar Targaryen.

... Its pretty bad when a re-occurring guest character and a 13 year old are the epitome of the book. But beyond that... It feels like beyond the big three (Bella, Edward, Jacob) none of the other characters are examined in much depth. . . And really. Stephanie Meyer should have told Jackson Rathbone to get a better hairstyle... because neither of these were cutting it:

Same. A lot of the books for which people hate characters for I have never read, such as Hunger Games or 50 Shades... But I have had situations where I like the character... but something happens and their decisions just irritate the f**k out of me. But countless franchises make entire books on impulsive behavior, misunderstandings, and lack of common sense.

ngl.. I was a little triggered when you said dumbledore, but... i think that was just because I think the actor that played him [Jude Law] in the crimes of Grindlewald... was kind of cute.

Honestly, the argument that is made for him about how he had to be an ass and James bullied him therefore its justified that he bullies harry & company... But then you think of how merciless he was toward Neville.. and Neville never did anything wrong aside from his mishaps.

And then the part when he's getting bullied and Lily saves him and he calls her a mudblood... Like why do I feel like I see that all the time. Someone getting helped out and them lashing out against the person that saved them.. Its really bizarre.

I mostly am going off the movies, as i only read the last few books only once-maybe a few time for the 1st three-which was b4 the first movie came out.

The movies kinda obliterated my memories of the books themselves, which is why i dint mention Dumbledore, Snape, Sirius, Harry's Dad, Tris, Four, Clary Fray, Jace n others. Some i nvr read the bks(or not more than tried to start-Divergent, Mortal Instruments, Twilight; or forgot everything i read Hunger Games 1,2,3[read after i watched the 1st movie] i kinda enjoyed watching all their movies, in a hey Fantasy movies which are better than Krull, or those old style fantasy movies on tv i used to watch. Any annoying characters in em i just kinda overlooked for the overall story. I did like Katniss n Peeta tho, even Haymitch-their actors sold me on the basis of their acting. Not so much Gale tho.

For books-wise only my above comments count, cos i need to consciously continue reading-whereas movies/tv i only need to keep my eyes open n my brain not to fall asleep. (Which has started happening 3/4 ways through a lot of shows, including lastly Loki ep.6 my eyes just closed up n my brain dozed off for a few minutes n woke up a few minutes l8r-i watched on my phone lying in bed n it was shocking tat it was still playing as my hand just held on to my phone but nth touched the screen to stop it playing-it was part of the climax maybe 5-10 minutes dozing off, i woke in time for maybe last 10 minutes n dint think i missed anything crucial. Might go bk n rewatch whole episode to be sure.
