Sensitive Brian Laundrie's Autopsy (1 Viewer)

Brian Laundrie died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head, an attorney for the Laundrie family told CNN Tuesday.

"Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide," said attorney Steven Bertolino.

CNN has reached out to authorities for further comment, and has followed up with Bertolino regarding how Laundrie came to be in possession of a gun.
Laundrie's remains were found in a Florida nature reserve last month after a weekslong manhunt. He disappeared just days after his fiancée Gabby Petito was reported missing.

The couple had been traveling across the country over the summer in a converted van and documenting their travels on social media. The case gained national attention as authorities searched for both.

Laundrie returned to his parents' house in Florida on September 1 without Petito. As police were trying to question the family about Petito's whereabouts, Laundrie went missing on September 13 or 14 after leaving home with a backpack, according to his parents.

Petito's remains were found in Wyoming on September 19. Her death was ruled a homicide by manual strangulation.

We’ve been talking about this case in English class

[Abeamus]

Not surprised, hopefully his family can be charged by association though as they definitely knew he did it and helped him get away with it

at least gabby's family and friends wont have to suffer through what would have been a long and painful trial, and the inevitable appeals that would follow. im just so sorry for them..

I hearted your comment because I'm proud schools are talking about stuff like this finally instead of glossing over it and sentencing kids to detention like they did when I was in school. 😖

However this case just kinda rubs me the wrong way I feel there's more to it. That we are just not being told.

Supposedly the fbi knew a weapon was missing the whole time.

I do find it odd that they did the apb with a a weapon tag.

I'm honestly not surprised by this. I just hate how he got away with murder

Oh we weren't talking about it as part of the curriculum or anything like that - my teacher is really into the case and feels really bad for Gabby, so he brings it up a lot when we're not talking about our readings or anything like that. Tbh, I even learned about the case from him few months ago

Yeah, we were talking about how his family is helping him cover up possibly
