So I'm going to be honest.
I have a feeling that this year because of:
1. School.
2. Externships/Clinicals
3. Side jobs.
4. Work.
That I will not be reading as many books as I did last year.
So as a result these monthly updated may not be as interesting.
So instead of it being more data-based I am going to make it more opinion based.
I'll be posting a cover of the book I read.
My final rating of the book.
And a brief thing of my thoughts on it and maybe what it is actually about.
(I am lazy and cannot remember who used to be on my tag list for these so let me know below and I'll tag you from now on.)
In January I read 2 books and DNF'd 1.
JANUARY READS:
Final Rating: 3.5 Stars
Summary: In the future, scientists and doctors are working on a way to make those who have passed live long past the day they die.
Not a way to have them live forever but to let them live longer so that they can say their proper goodbyes to loved ones and actually prepare to pass on peacefully.
Unfortunately for Jamal, who has already lost his parents two years ago, he must now watch his estranged best friend, Q pass away despite Jamal's best efforts to save him.
But Q is selected to come back, just for a short time, only he has no recollection of Jamal trying to save him.
Jamal, knowing Q only has a short time left before returning to the grave does everything he can to repair his lost friendship with Q before it's too late.

Review: Honestly, Reynolds is VERY poetic with the way he writes and it's lovely. He also used some fun formatting as well.
Despite knowing this could not have a happy ending I found myself still getting incredibly emotional. I really enjoyed the book.
But unfortunately, it was at times slow. It also felt sort of rushed because it took so long for the whole incident with Q dying to occur.
Which is something we knew was going to happen since the entire book is based on it. So the pacing was just generally off which at times ruined the reading experience.
But overall a good book.

But first, he must make it through the grueling acting program at the infamous Dellecher University which is known for its oddball way of teaching.
However, Oliver's potential and career are cut short when one of his friends winds up dead and he ends up behind bars. Now 10 years later Oliver is
finally willing to reveal what actually happened that school year all that time ago and what actually led to the death of his friend.

Review: Holy crap on a cracker! I was not sure how I would feel about this book it felt very slow at the start but little did I know
it was really just getting me invested in all the characters in this story. I was so invested in all their stories that it made me all the more nervous when certain things transpired.
It's also not revealed through the synopsis or anything else that ends up dead so you're waiting in anticipation as Oliver tells you everything.
Waiting to know who dies, who did it, and also all the juicy details of the relationships and the drama of everything. I didn't expect to be so into it, but damn I was.
It legit felt like watching a super dramatic suspenseful show and I loved every second of it.
Rating: 1 Star-DNF'd @ 56%
Summary: Holly & her husband, years and years ago adopted a lovely little Russian girl, Tatiana.
Now years have passed and Holly awakens to a horrid feeling of something came home from Russia when they adopted their little girl.
Now Holly is left alone at home with her daughter in the middle of a blizzard and things seem to be very off with Tatiana. Holly starts to get more frantic
more paranoid, and more scared as things continue to go awry. Did something come home from Russia and did it come home in Tatiana?

Review: I hate this so much. I want to preface this by saying I listened to this on audiobooks and the NARRATOR was WHITE.
Tell me why they thought it was okay to have her do a stereotypical and super offensive accent for a Vietnamese woman!?!?!
That wasn't the only thing I was not happy about but also this story was just horribly written. It overused words in the hope they would somehow become scary.
I was so bored and did not care by the time I got half way through so I just gave up.
**No trigger warnings because I didn't read far enough to get triggered by anything other than how bad this was**
Also I am currently read: Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake
So whatta think?

Also just want to mention that ED's are not talked about in an appropriate manner in this book so I would definitely make sure you're prepared for that.
