Is bullying that common in Korea or was every k-celeb just a mean (popular) student in school?

There are so many bullying accusations right now.

Bullying unfortunately is an extremely common in issue in SK.

Why would SM ruin their own plans of making Karina an "IT girl" for a little bit of publicity?

Aespa were already getting bad publicity from the plagiarism scandal and their concept, in general, so I don't think SM would've thrown their FOTG under the bus.

That bullying scandal affected all the hype that SM gave her via an appearance with Taemin and Kai.

The situation is basically a repeat of what happened with Taeyong.

The FOTG and favourite member (Karina and Taeyong) got their reputation ruined so now, SM needs to push a safer member (Winter, Jaehyun and Lucas).

As far as SM rookies/trainees are concerned, Jimin wasn't really widely known compared to the others. Her scandals had her trending everywhere, thinking "Who tf is Yoo Jimin and how dare she?" and "who could bg stans bully this poor girl?" The main thing that gives it away is SM pushing her not long after that and then debuting Aespa with her as center.

Looked like they were trying to build her as this "bad bitch"

Sometimes their marketing make then seem a bit too similar to BP

Giselle was already the "bad bitch" member but it's obvious that SM watered down her persona, so I don't think they would've wanted that.

Was the plagiarism scandal n concept before or after karina was accused of being a bully.(or did you mean the k/da thing?) Timing would be a major factor in believing credibly whether SM would manufacture such a shitstorm.

I said i dont agree with Darlingblue's theory of SM being behind it, but i dint pay much attention then cos only later become my bias.

I stated above i believe it was just someone disgruntled with karina for watever personal reasons/grudges they held without nary a shred of evidence/corroboration n in fact the reddit link i posted has many defense for karina NOT being a bully in school or tat accusation of bullying/harassing/abusing/mistreating a fellow trainee.

Im tired n just want to turn off my brain but its hard to turn my eyes away from my fave group(s)' member(s) being accused of being a school bully. Nth is WYSIWYG anymore, if it ever was in the first place.

Pls let there not be any more stories or accusations BUT ONLY if/because there arent any more victims of bullying/abuse/harassment/mistreatment, see my long ass post elsewhere in the forum.

Id need to fully read the reddit posts n maybe akp, kboo n others but i dont hv the strength to since its all died down, also im not sure when kai n karina surfaced, either filming maybe behind the scenes in real time on sns. The coincidence of yoo jimin's given name shortly after another jimin bullying case leads me to believe (unless further concrete info surfaces), it was as i said a disgruntled exo-l, classmate, fellow trainee. Theres been no further traction after SM stated they would sue if any more malicious false misinformation were to be made. So im stanning aespa n my bias winter with my conscience IN NO CONFLICT about any of the members. Same for gidle n my bias yuqi until im convinced otherwise too. Its too little now n with cube's statement n soojin self-admittance of her own behaviour(sounds a lot like a real life version of tv show character Lindsey in Freaks n Geeks acting up, but who knows cos that show got cancelled, n it was reversed-lindsey=good girl gone slightly badder, soojin =/= slightly badder girl turned into idol, which takes hard work, teamwork n dancing/singing talent n lots of practice; not saying she's not a bully: just saying its not convincing enuf to me so far).
Tldr: didya mean text msgs abt karina connecting to karina bullying scandal? I think it was an escalation as different ppl got involved tryin to smear yoo jimin predebut but im not sure.

You realize that nearly every single "It Girl" in a group has conveniently been both the most popular and initially the most hated member right? And a majority of the time, the hate they receive is a result of the promotion tactics of the agency behind them but they never stopped because it doesn't matter in the end.

Most of the stuff around aespa seem is laughably fake and well timed. In all actuality, what's the likelihood that 3 out of 4 have allegations pop up immediately after being revealed, 2 of them serious, but all lacking any definitive proof? The math isn't mathing

It's all clicks, comments engagement that pushes her up in interest and that interest makes her a better candidate for collabs, cfs, hosting gigs, acting roles etc that she get actual fame from.

Karina's reputation isn't anywhere close to ruined, it's just slightly negative and it's working out really well for her.



Look at that gap despite her not being viral for her visuals, talents or performance like Winter or being in a group with a hit song. Can you honestly say she'd be up there if none of this had happened, or would she be at the bottom with Ning and Giselle?
1 or 2 years from now, it isn't going to matter when she's getting actual gigs
