Eh, they're strict sometimes, but they can be really nice, too

well with my mom being Asian yes but only with grades, other than that she's pretty chill. My dad being American, no he's pretty chill too, as long as I did what I needed to do in order to be successful, now I'm in college and doing pretty well

It depends, I was given relative freedom when it came to grades. My parents did the "you are ruining your own life" politics and simply took me to help them do the "dirty job" as a house cleaner etc. So I was accustomed to the reality of "being an immigrant/not having an education" (though both my parents are engineers with a university diploma).
But otherwise my mother was very strict about not being allowed to go outside and being home at a certain hour. My father was very strict with housework - cleaning etc.
On the other hand, I know there are way more stricter parents.

My stepfather was always really strict which is the reason our relationship is so poor now, and the reason it has damaged his and my mothers relationship. Even to this day it is still not good because of how he was and tries to be with parenting.

My mother two different people at once.
In my young years till albout 10 she was strict, no friends around the house not parties, no sleep overs, no playing outside, beating with objects etc.
Then by 13 she was buying me alcohol and asking me to roll spliffs for her than forgetting my birthday... Then she switch out and tell me I can't go anywhere and all that this was up until 18 when I moved out (this was when she wasnt having an episode, I think the main reason she bought me things and alcohol cause she didn't want to talk about her illness and how it affect us and her and just wanted to buy me off cause I was the only one that wanted to talk about it being the oldest).
However When she was having a schizophrenic episode.. She ignored me or just shouted stuff at me but I understood cause she was sick... But the rest I couldn't account for.

I'm asian, so my parents were definitely strict. They were a lot more so when I was younger though and have since mellowed out a ton

It depended on the thing. Like, they were never strict about a curfew (but then again, I never had a car or many friends, let alone a boyfriend/date, so there didn't really need to be one lol), but they were strict when it came to things like my schooling, even through my one year of college. To my mom, "passing" wasn't good enough - she wanted me to "ace" everything. Plus, I cannot count the number of times I've been grounded for procrastinating homework by having my privileges taken away. One time, I almost had my BSB tickets (for their Black & Blue tour in Atlanta) taken away because I was such a bad student (not only did I procrastinate, but there was also some in-school trouble), but I managed to clean up my act enough by the time the concert rolled around, so they didn't.

My grandma was also pretty strict when I was little - sometimes even bordering damn near on mean. As she got into her eighties and ninetyies, she mellowed out, but during my childhood - UGH!!! She wouldn't even let me listen to my own music because she found it atrocious. I mean, who could blame her, right? But did she not realize that she could just ask me to turn the radio down instead of making me turn the damn thing off???

Sorry for the essay. lol Lots of memories.
