News Disney Accused Of Repeatedly STEALING Star Wars Fan Art. (1 Viewer)

What do you guys think?

The evidence in this is pretty damning from the top trump cards to the stolen spaceship designs and I didn't even notice that drill thing from Avatar when I watched The Last Jedi LOL

It's frustrating to think of these people getting their art stolen but at the end of the day the lesson is: if you want to earn money off of your art, you can't rely on other people's properties. I do feel bad for the fanfic writers that had their ideas stolen though I kinda wish Disney would've just offered them a job instead...

Not cool, but i'm not rly surprised.. : /

it sucks that none of the artists can confront disney since they're such a big and powerful company

Its Hollywood; what does anyone expect? They literally make movies that are copies [not remakes] all the time. Disney is a corporation. Its in the business of making money. Hire an artist or rip off a amateur artist? Ripping off an artist is more economical especially considering that Disney will never face any lawsuit that will come to fruition. Is it right or upstanding? No. But name me a big business who has existed for decades that has not ripped off a small business or in this case artist/s.. And then this goes into a philosophical and legal discussion of ownership and the rights of an artist making art of franchises that was technically owned.

FYI: for anyone who wants to call me a dick for saying this, just know that I rewrote this post already to state my opinion in a way that wasn't crude, crass, or any way demeaning and if it comes across as such it is not my intent.
