Movie Do you know movies based on true stories that don’t take a decent amount of liberties with changes? (1 Viewer)

The first 2 movies I can think of that are based on true stories are Silenced and Bridge of Spies. Silenced gets the idea across but from what I’ve seen isn’t one you could say was really that accurate. That being said it was based off a book based off an event and it was successful in the sense it did well while also raising awareness about the situation. Bridge of Spies seems relatively accurate, but no doubt had noticeable changes from the event. One of the people the movie was based on said that himself, that they definitely took creative libirties.

Yeah it does seem like they’re very general with “based on a true story” ones in the accuracy regard.

They are based on a true story like movies are based on a book ect.
Advancing a narrative is often far more important than the story or the facts.

its almost more fun to remember those that are soo bad.

like say perfect storm the story of a fishing boat that went out when a storm was coming in....
Everyone died irl so the vast majority of the movie was pure fiction :)

i think Stand and deliver may have been pretty close.

ok the time line is off ie it took longer to teach the kids up (years), but even the teacher it was based on called it 90% good 10% drama

I don’t remember if it was touted as being based off a true story but I think I saw/read about a movie where the ending was the opposite of what actually happened? Either that it was an adaptation that was the opposite of the original form. I can’t really remember.
