Depends on what they did honestly. I can tolerate personality issues, problems with private lives and even drugs (like marijuana) but I can't tolerate anything that puts someone else's mental or physical wellbeing at risk. Seungri's solo music was my favourite out of all BB solos but I can't listen to them ever again because I just feel so disgusted whenever I even remember Seungri's name. Somehow I can still listen to BB's songs as a whole though... I guess it's because he has minimal lines so I don't have to hear him much.

The only time I can tolerate it is if they were really young (like in their early teens) and they have proven that they have GENUINELY apologised, grown from the incident and changed for the better. I believe everyone does stupid things when they're younger. Adults who know what they're doing is wrong yet still do it on the other hand, I can never forgive and won't listen to them again.

I don't think I would personally care. I know of one user who was a little ashamed of her bias because he had been involved on scandals. I won't say names. I personally think the involved idol is just innocent and was just on the wrong place at the wrong time; but anyway, I just encouraged her to just keep supporting him. So I just think I don't care; but without being personally biasing idols involved in scandals, I cannot know for sure.

There are scandals and scandals.
Rapists are gone so Pavarotti, Hitchcock i will never view again for example.
Jimin is not a nice person but i will still watch bingle bangle.
Not gonna penalize tara for crazy head chick.
Boy groups are mostly a non issues as i didnt listen to them before and i will not now start.

DUI is tricky. personally i think dui is just stupid lazy and dumb and for well off people ^ 2 ^ 2 ^2 times that. I liken it to driving down the street and firing a gun you were not aiming at anything but the fact that you hit no body is just luck. Especially like say >1 bac
yet ppl are allowed to skate mostly because so many people abuse substances of one sort or the other. I can go either way if they did not hit anyone or it was just near the limit( having a limit kinda says its ok.... but ).. Still think its silly especially now in the era of super eazy and cheaper rides.

Something like Irene, baring the actual full audio i could care less. While i would prefer people to always be kind. life happens.

Something like many of the American stars well there is a reason i no longer listen to the much of that.

I do. I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't. I listen to Remy who went to prison for 8 years for shooting someone.. And anyway a lot of idols and other artists do questionable things. People turn idols into gods and then when they find out they aren't gods, they get depressed.

The case for listening/supporting unethical artists becomes clearer when looking at Western Music. Jimi Page [iconic rock musician] basically r***d a 14 year old. John Lennon cheated on his wife. R Kelly is a child predator.. I could go on, but I think you get the point. Many artists, of whom modern music wouldn't exist without and as such k-pop in its current incarnation [as a genre that borrows heavily from Hip Hop, Rock, and R&B] probably wouldn't exist. So I find it futile to disregard music by artists who are terrible or have committed terrible crimes.

And it can be easy to take a stance on Seungri when one is not a Big Bang fan... Plus. For those who feel that an artist is to be abandoned following terrible actions then everyone who has a pair of beats by dre needs to buy new headphones, because his violence against women is well known.

edit: And if we're talking about scandals involving drugs... Oh please. I'd have to abandon my whole family and remove all the songs in my playlist that glorify drug use... lol

2nd Edit: And Siwon is an Evangelical Protestant and has espoused homophobic rhetoric. I'm sure as hell not going to stop listening to Suju because of that... And I'm gay, so...

depends on what it was but generally don't stop listening unless its really bad. I know they don't make a lot of money for streaming but I still don't want to support them in anyway
