Do you think kpop is better than American pop? (1 Viewer)

I like both, I guess. I just lean towards kpop a little bit more. I don't invest much money at all in American music either. The aesthetics and mvs in kpop certainly win over American stuff though lol.

But yeah, I got nothing against the American stuff and will bop to it. Funny enough, I was more into rock/alt. rock/symphonic rock when I wasn't a kpop fan. Not sure what happened there.

Kpop, i just have way more kpop songs i like than with american pop. I don't rly listen american pop apart from some older songs from here and there.

I haven’t listened to any American/British pop since I got into Kpop. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much either by not bothering with it.

I listen to American pop (usually the quieter/calmer ones) occasionally when I get tired of listening to kpop, but I always come back to kpop/krnb. I definitely prefer kpop 100%, but I wouldn’t say one is worse than the other.

I haven't enjoyed american pop (esp hot 100 songs) in such a long time. it's getting a bit better now that the disco trend is coming back. Still, nowhere as close as I enjoyed the chart songs back in 2011.

I like them both equally in terms of music but i'm definitely more involved with Korean artist fandom wise. The thing about western celebrities is that they tend to not hide their horrible personalities lol. Like I know there are kpop idols just as bad as some western celebrities but they at least to pretend to be decent and not annoying.

I think it depends on the artists you like. I have been really into the more indie scene of america and really have been enjoying it way more than the newer kpop releases. I also have been into icons of music like Mariah, Börk, Robyn, *Nsync, TLC and Spice Girls too ( and obviously can't go without listening to Queen too)

Apop. Lyricisms is typically better, more conscious & more importantly vocal ability is important, at least several main acts will have the pipes. But American Rn&B, especially 90’s & 2000’s pop Rn&B above both lol. I’m actually getting back into the American music scene (especially the drama 😂)

Not really. I love some Kpop artists and I also love some American artists. I listen to a lot of different genres from different countries.
