They were huge in China despite barely promoting there.

Even in 2021 they are top 10 most popular kpop group in China.

SM could have had f(x) spend most of their time in China making millions while SNSD held down Korea and Japan.

I think it didn't happen cause there was just too many moving peices within f(x) with Krystal and Sulli wanting to split time with acting. Those two never really wanted to dedicate 100% to music.

What could have been though.

and lsm wanted amber bcuz he was inspired by androgynous cpop idols too
weird that they didn't even bother trying when victoria and krystal were able to command so much popularity while barely having activities there

Music was something else they did.

Shes currently there now filming for a produce type show (same one Victoria did) and she is already getting offers through the roof for work there cause she and the f(x) brand is so popular there.

The problem is Amber wants them to care. She could work in Korea but they wanted her not the music her and that was Ambers beef with SM.

It was definitely Sulli. I honestly just don't think she was built mentally and physically for over seas tours of any kind. Sure she could do SM Town tours cause the performances were kept to a minimum with all SM acts.

But it's no coincidence f(x) first and only tour happened after she left the group.

Well T-ara was kind of the Kara of China already but f(x) might've been able to do pretty well there

When you think about it three out of the the four members were ethnically Chinese as Amber is Taiwanese-American. Really weird how SM from what I learned about them and heard from fans held them back. I remember when they had their concert I was shocked it was their first.
