From fans perspective who was the villain in the TVXQ split? (1 Viewer)

The biggest scandal in kpop history (until Burning Sun last year).

From fans point of view who (if anyone) were they mad at the most?

JYJ for leaving the group? Or Yunho and Changmin for staying in the group and not going with them?

Anyone around then who can answer this?

I was around kinda but did not try to figure it out for some time.

I personally blame jyj and their folks and think they would have been in breach of contract if the judge had not ruled that the contract itself (which was basically the government approved contract at the time) was nor valid.

Folks get all bent out of shape over the term 7 + 3 + 3 for 13 years. But that was the standard at the time from everything i can find.
Or they go off o n the whole 'Slave 'contract deal. They were employees and like most employees were subject to some rules.
Shoot look at some old ballplayer contracts if you want some crazy restrictions.

Also being older i blame the parents and the kids more. Bring your own freaking contract lawyer to help you understand what exactly you are signing. You sign a deal with out understanding what is in the deal that is on you.

I hv no idea abt them on this(much too complicated n I'm not invested in them at all), but I wish them all to do well.

LOL Folks always want to blame the agency. Leaves the Idols they love off the hook.
Yet members break, up that is what groups do.
Far more likely that the group broke up for typical reasons than some uber sm plot.

The members kicked her, of that there is no doubt.( although i believe the parents put em up to it)
She had hard dates in her published statements if those were not true she would have got sued.
Instead they launched a whisper campaign of lies to discredit her. Does not make the members case very strong.

As to Tae Sic. people fight, girls fight for emotional blood that is life. Could they have moved on and got thru what ever it was sure.
But that appears to have not happened and good friends are no longer, also very true to life.

Can not really imagine why. She does the fan meets in China CMIYC is released with 9 and she does the Tokyo dome concert, and is that even if any of the stuff was true about her leaving after the dome concert.
Fantasia had what 13 shows likely same set list and set up as Tokyo dome would not have been hard to work that in.

As a later SONE, I knew abt SNSD from Gee era but only stanned in mid-2018; I dint think they were good friends-TaeTif n SicYul, SicSun n SicTif seemed more like good friends in the group b4 930 to me. TaengSic in hindsight seemed more like work-mates with a side of acting/performing for the fans. This is all from watching them mostly long after it happened.(if I had known abt fancams n subbed Soshi tv shows earlier I might hv stanned or been a loyal casual fan but oh well.)
Did they seem like friends in real-time to you before 930, @RandAlThor ?

Back before the first chill around 2010. They seem close from small gestures not the over the top fanservice.
And i always thought that would be the most stressed relationship.
Jessica went from debut team leader(she was senior female trainee and thus in charge you can see it in GGTS clearly she and they are used to her being in charge) to not leader because of a month :) to a girl who had barely trained 2-3 years and also grabbed the main vocal spot..
And they had her go with that kinda passive character.

But early on it seemed to work. Something happened in the middle of the run. Then by 13-14 it looks like they were moving past that.
I would put her very best friends as Yoona and Sunny Maybe Sooyoung Hyoyeon ( the kids aside from Sunny she trained with forever.)
Yul sic always seemed a bit more business to me.

Funny fact aside from the triplets the 2 i confused most at the start were Tae Sic.

For sure Tae Sic is a super popular combo that came from somewhere.
