i bought a ton of jalapenos a few weeks back, turns out it should've cost me 20-something euros but the cashier only charged me for the reusable veggie bag i put them in
i only realized when i got home that night; if i had noticed on the way home or in the store i definitely would've notified them but the store is an hour away and i usually never go there so i just shrugged it off tbh

has this happened to you before?
also dont ask why all my threads are grocery themed today

Yes. I put potato chips and energy drink in my bag and the cashier totally forgot to ask if I have anything in my bag and I totally forgot

nah, I use self checkout whenever I can (which is most of the time)

Yes, usually when I put things on the bottom of the cart. Like walking out with a package of toiler paper or paper towels that never got rung up.

A few times i mostly catch it then and get it rung up. but as others said i use self check a lot now even at costco.

I also had it the other way around, I bought 2-3 bottles of cola and got charged for 5 or 6
