Has Anyone Traveled to South Korea? (1 Viewer)

Heyo, just curious to see if any if y'all have been to South Korea or have an interest in doing so?
I would love to visit sometime this year during the fall I'm just wondering how much is enough money.
I've done my research on tourist "hot-spots" and then I thought of attending some concerts while I'm at it
even though I don't exactly know what the price of concert tickets would be just in general. Wish there was
someone I could talk to about this, hehe. ​

I have gone 3 times. Twice for Red Velvet once for IZONE concerts. and the 2 weeks around that.
The big cost for me was the plane tickets each time. 1100 , 1400 1700

I stay in a guest house so its cheap say 40- 60$ a night. You can do better. say 5-700$ for 13 days.
Buy a transit card use the train and buses. 50-100 depending on how much you use them.

Concert ticket are say 110$ ballpark face value i mostly paid resale prices so 2x+. Since no point in going if i could not get seats.
Fansigns are all over the map.
music shows are about 80-100$ unless you get in free.
Ect Food is not horrid

I spent close to a k each time on cd's and souvies (well 800.00 hehehe)

Say 3-4 k out of pocket depending on how you spend money.

I did but I mostly hung around Hongdae and Myeongdong (Gangnam too!) instead of going to concerts; Personally I thought it was cheap b/c of the difference between usd and won. I do recommend checking the weather patterns before hand because I visited in spring and it was so rainy and so cold :(

Since you have an NCT badge, make sure you visit the SMTOWM Museum. (I visited Seoul last year.)

Also, see if you can find lodging around Myeongdong or Insadong. Gangnam is nice but just felt like a very affluent American city.

I would go to Myeongdong or Hoehyeon to eat, cd shop just shop(spent a ton on makeup one year for my sisters).

That's honestly not too bad. You could spend a whole month there for what it's worth spending one week at Disney World. lmao
So how much money would you say is a safe bet to and from Korea? I live on the other side of the world so yeah the plane ticket is going to be the main cost most likely unless I decide to stay for 3 months. Transportation is the part that makes me nervous. Did you to Korea alone or..?
Where did you go? I'm assuming Seoul but did you go any where else?

Oh wow, so the currency there is also cheaper compared to US currency? That's nice to know lol. People assume the US is cheap but nah. I'd like to visit in the fall but so I wonder how that will be. How long was your stay? What did you do?

Thanks for the tips and advice, it'll definitely come in handy when I'm figuring everything out in the future. I guess I shouldn't stress so much about what I'm going to do each and every second of the day. I'd like to stay there for a while so I'll have plenty of time to do a lot. ^^

I was living in Japan at the time (also expensive lol). Albums are so much cheaper unless you’re into a YG group; I noticed their merch was more expenaive

Well, dang, Disney World is too much. But really, I found Seoul's food and lodging to be overall less expensive than Tokyo, New York City, L.A., etc.

Plane ticket will be a major expense but you can compare many airlines' fares on kayak.com. Where are you located? Over the past couple of years I've found Korean Air to have among the best fares when flying out of the U.S. East Coast. There's a really nice nonstop Boston -- Incheon/Seoul flight that I've taken a few times.
