Usually my friendships die out because I'm bad at keeping in touch with people and texting them
I did have a friend in high school that I stopped being friends with because she was talking bad about me behind my back though. Then when I told someone else in our group that I wasn't comfortable around her in confidence, that friend spilled what I told her and most people sided with the first girl
I guess that's just high school for you. Have you ever had any experiences like this?​

This was a few years ago, but I had to stop being friends with one girl because she just suddenly got wrapped up in so much drama and other situations. Everyone started to hate her and she started telling me stories about the guys she slept with and it really made me uncomfortable. I normally try to keep quiet about things like this so I don't hurt people, so I stayed quiet. Then when I grew tired of it, I told her how I felt and tried to cut her off. Suddenly she came out as 'bisexual' and told everyone she had a crush on me and that I broke her heart when I did nothing. To this day she says that I'm her best friend when I never talk to her and I obviously try to avoid her.

Oh boy. I had a similar situation when I was younger. I was too shy to cut toxic people off at the time. Anyway, I had a friend who (at the time identified as a girl) had a crush on me. Obv I distanced myself not bc I was homophobic but bc I was uncomfy with them being interested in me. They would constantly flirt with me, and me, being straight, was very uncomfortable. First they claimed they were bi, and then came out lesbian. Even when they would date someone they would keep flirting and it was so strange. He would even sexualize me sometimes, and considering our extremely young age at the time, was very much concerning. Anyway he eventually became extremely toxic and overall horrible and moved to a different friend group.

Thank you! It was quite a while ago and turns out he became a horrible person so I'm really glad I got away from him before he started his spiral downwards.

Err I don't think so....but it takes me alot to consider someone a friend, most people I've meet irl are at friendly aqquintances level so there's no real investment alot of indifference towards them as I'm still seeing who they are and if they match with me personality wise.
so if they do something bad it doesn't really matter they just don't come into the friend level lol

Same here. I became friends with a guy when he transferred to my uni, and then after we left he was showing off his maga hat to me over facebok messenger and I was erm no. Friendship swiftly ended.

This girl got really close to me just to start talking about me behind my back. it hurt because i felt like i could tell her anything and then she spilled all my sister's secrets and embarrassed her. after that, i NEVER texted her up to this day and i don't talk to her even when she comes over cuz our moms are friends i just go in my room and play my bts playlist
