Have you ever seen a movie in a mostly empty theater? (2 Viewers)

Sometimes I wonder if the divide in how people feel about a movie has to do with how they saw it. Like I really felt Oppenheimer seeing it on the big screen, but if it was just playing on my laptop, I think it'd be easier to think "what's so special about this?"

You and everyone else are convincing me to give it a go! I have a pretty empty weekend this weekend, so I think I'll go on Friday.

for me it definitely makes a difference. when i watch a movie in theatres there's no way for me to get distracted by anything around and it makes me appreciate the technical aspects of the movie that i wouldn't have noticed had i been watching it in my bedroom with headphones on. also not to be pretentious but when i see people talk about watching movies on 2x speed or scrolling social media during the movie, i just wonder what's the logic behind this and why watch a movie if this is how you're gonna do it if you end up going i hope you like it! i'm planning to watch it soon too as it just starts playing in my country this friday

I made it! I think there are maybe a whole ten people here, but I got a good spot in the far corner and no one is near me in the two rows in front of me.
