I don’t mean inclement weather ones either, I mean asking for daylight headlight use in all weather for parts of the road. I didn’t know they existed until recently tbh but apparently they do.

All over the western us. there are so many 2 lane roads .

Some places are dark most of the time like Colorado, and other states mountain country.
I have even seen them on long stretches of desert driving.

Turn on your lights whenever you see a “daylight headlight section” sign. The Department of Motor Vehicles recommends the use of headlights during the day when: Adverse weather conditions make it difficult to see (rain, snow, sleet, fog, or smoke) On rural and mountain roads.

The last is the one I saw to end the section I saw here. Different starting sign but same idea. We don’t typically need them I’d imagine.

It is safer which is why motorcycles are wired to be lights on when the engine is running.

the southwest has a bunch cuz of how shimmery hazy it gets on the long flat sections.

Yes, usually on winding mountainous roads or just long strips of nothingness to keep people alert.

nope but sometimes my friend does that even in bright daylight
he says it's just one added safety feature since sometimes in bright bright daylight reflections and sunlight can cause visabililty issues
