How did you get into kpop? What year? (1 Viewer)

I got into K-pop in 2017. I was on Twitter one night when a girl I used to be moots with (she's since fallen off the face of the earth) had tweeted a HANDSOME pic of Namjoon. I had no idea who she was talking about, since I used to avoid K-pop like the plague (I was still a Directioner who believed K-pop was bad bc we had a lot of beef with Army, Exo-L, Aghase, etc.), so I asked out of curiosity. And boy, did I receive - when I logged on the next morning, she'd given me an entire thread introducing me to BTS and each individual member! I didn't fully get into it until the following summer, though, when Twice released Summer Nights. That was when I decided, "Hmm... maybe K-pop isn't so bad after all!"

sj Sorry sorry was ok but if i wanted bg songs i would find one in English.

Then a few weeks later one i hated that i later found out was lolipop 21 and bb which forever killed both groups for me. inot sure i made it more than30 sec.

Then a few weeks later SNSD Run devil run which i loved. imediatly clicked the next reco which was Oh! loved it then clicked the next reco Gee, and i was down the rabbit hole for the next 2 weeks i did little outside of work that was not researching/watching SNSD.

You may remember a song called Despacito. I was hooked up to that song and looked for video reactions on youtube. I got this:

It might have been short lived if it'd be not for Dreamcatcher and their then heavy rock sound.
