No matter how you reject people some of them are going ot be d-bags. You just look at them and say "this is why I wasn't interested." And if you gay, of course you can say "Other then your the wrong gender, this is why I wasn't interested."

Lying is possibly The worst thing you could ever do to a person. Imagine them finding out later that you did lie to them, they only gonna be more hurt. It’s better to rip of the bandage, it’ll hurt now but it will be a lot better then realizing the person they liked rather lie about their sexuality then date me.

They need to understand people just don’t click sometimes and only time will heal the rejection.

Tbh I've had more situations where the person likes me but in a very obvious way but doesn't say it, so I just try and keep my distance without being an asshole and not talking to the person at all. It isn't really effective that much but I always hope that they get a message, cause people really can't "Take a Hint" and neither can I
