I think it will be the start of a life-long health routine!
Consistency is key but you have to be careful of over-training which is actually detrimental. I work out every day because I find it easier if I don't allow myself excuses, otherwise you take a day off when you're sick and the next because you're not feeling great and eventually you're just coming up with excuses whenever you aren't feeling like it. But to do so you have to focus on different muscle groups each day and not go as hard.
If you're coming from a place of being "not fit at all" I would start with 4 days a week and something less strenuous because the No 1 reason people quit is because they burn themselves out by going too hard too fast. Motivation is good but you should focus on creating a routine you can actually maintain, imo, working out super hard for a couple of weeks or months isn't going to give you many health benefits, you might see some initial muscle growth but a truly healthy body takes years of consistent management.
It took me half a year to a year of hating every second of it but once I got past the initial hurdle it became sometihng I can't live without, I feel awful if I skip a workout now and I've stayed consistent for the last decade. It doesn't always have to be a good session, but just getting up and doing something when you really didn't want to will always make you feel good.
