Oh, lots! lol I'm clumsier than Fergie in her song. lol
1) In 1995, I broke my arm falling off a bed when I was nine. I don't remember much, but I had to wear a cast for like a month.
2) In 1996, I sprained one of my ribs skiing (or it might've been ice skating - an ice sport, anyway) when I was ten. Again, I don't remember much.
3) In 2001, my summer camp group was leaving McDonald's after a lunch outing, and one of the counselors (whom I had a HUGE crush on at the time) was standing next to our bus. So, I smiled and waved at him, only to suddenly TRIP OVER THE TWO-SIDED CURB and crash-land on one of the bus steps. I had to go to the hospital, and I ended up needing TWELVE stitches where the gash was.
4) In 2004, I sliced my finger on an Xacto knife (art knife) in class trying to cut some poster board. It was already bad enough (it bled like a river, istg), but unfortunately the finger in question was my left MIDDLE finger. Not only did I have to wear a splint for the following two weeks, but I also had to go around looking like I was flipping everybody off.
5) In 2012, I slipped on ice during a walk with my dog and got whiplashed. I fell flat on my back on somebody's icy driveway, had the wind knocked out of me, and had to walk the few blocks back home with an injured back bc I didn't have my phone on me. Nothing was broken, but my back was very badly bruised and it hurt to do anything with a lot of lung power (laughing, loud talking, etc.) for awhile.
6) In 2013, I slipped and fell flat on my face getting out of the shower. It was the morning after a 1D concert, and my dad and I were getting ready so we could get breakfast and head home (the concert was in Louisville) when I slipped on the bathtub floor and hit my face so hard that there formed a lump the size of a softball over my left eye. I didn't concuss, thank God, but I did have a blackeye for a good week or so.
7) In 2017, I was walking into my shrink's office when I didn't notice a dip in the sidewalk. I fell on my left hand really weird and ended up breaking my wrist. Except, I didn't know it was broken because I could still move my hand around immediately after the fall, and by the time I finally got around to getting it checked out, it was already almost healed and there was a permanent crick in my wrist. It doesn't hurt at all, but it's there.
8) In 2018, I was walking on the treadmill at the blind home I used to live at, when I wanted to know what time it was. So, I took my left hand off the handle to look - big mistake. I slipped on the treadmill, fell backwards, and cut my head open on machine behind it. It wasn't nearly as bad as last time bc I only needed three stitches, but I had to wait all evening (this happened at like 6:30 pm) at the hospital for my mom (who lives about 45 minutes away) to pick me up bc (1) I forgot my phone when I left in the ambulance and (2) the staff at the blind home wasn't allowed to leave the building. (don't ask about the last part, idek lol)
