How was your thanksgiving if you celebrated?

I actually had a great time, I loved it! I wasn’t expecting it at all tbh bc I was not at all happy (prob bc of sleep deprivation tbh) and very stressed the past few days. And I also get gloomy for the first few days whenever I go to a new timezone, idk why it happened last time I came home to California and also when I went to England for my cousin’s wedding earlier.

I was shy and nervous a little but overall I had a lot of fun! I talked to a kid 8 years younger than me for a bit (hadn’t met her before) (born in the 2010s, I feel so old) but that turned out great and I had no trouble with it at all, it was interesting too! She’s interested in what I’m studying. I’ve always been very good at talking to people much younger or much older than me tho lol. Sometimes better than with kids my age tbh Maybe cause I didn’t baby her? I don’t baby anyone and I know how to talk to kids. My aunts and uncle were babying me (please my cousin who’s the same age was there, where’s the babying for her I just bring out the babying hormones in adults lol) I had fun with my cousins plus one’s bf and my brother. I had lots of stories of me being an idiot back in middle school as I said, in my defense, if I was smart, I wouldn’t have stories, but they took it seriously And unlike England when I was actually even thinking “maybe I’m not as happy-go-lucky as I thought” I was actually smiling most of the time here
Best part was I got to see my cousin who’s the same age! I don’t know when I’ll get to see her again, I miss her already I miss the days when we would Skype every weekend when we were like 10, when my brother was jealous and wished he could have a best friend like that. I will do better keeping in touch with her, I will! I suck so much at keeping in touch fr, but I love her and all the time we spend together, I should do better
It might be my fave thanksgiving honestly!

I have 3 sisters 1 brother all but two of the kids were there (the 2 nephew are out of the country )

When we used to do it with my mom s family it would push 100.

All my extended family (aunt, grandparents, ect) live far away from us so ig I’m just not used to having lot of people relevant to me at holiday gatherings

We are getting spread out but my sister really commits to thanksgiving. and the married folks block out time every 2 years and they try to sync it up.

It was a great time early on some ran the 5k then they played ultimate Frisbee. I like my knees so i abstained.
