I still hate windows 11 (1 Viewer)

finally got the file system to work but....

now its forcing me to move photos from my camera to the cloud and ofc buy more storage

if i wanted shit on the cloud i wouldn't have terabytes of storage on my personal computer.

then when i try to force copy from the camera to the photo library on my drive it refuses to match with the exact same photos there and is copying every photo and video over again and jut dumping them in with gobbledygook names.

i can only hope the dates are correct, maybe that way i can find something and that s if it dose actually move the 4-5 new files over sigh.

I mean there shouldn't even be a Windows 11 to begin with. I remember how they kept pushing people to upgrade to I think 10 it was back then going 'it will be the last Windows". And here we are several years later at Windows 11. Windows in general has become such an idiotic operating system, your taskbar has 20 times more processes then what it use have in the older Windows versions.

its frustrating what used to work just connecting o a usb port and auto sync is now a whole project.

Windows is also super sneaky, they install stuff secretly. I have a normal laptop that I use for editing and what not, translations, and I have an MSi one that I use for games which has a led lit up keyboard, and Windows would always secretly install some random update and it would cause my lights to go back to standard and I'd need to reinstall the program all over again to be able to make the lights work again. They also always make you update to clearly newer versions, but you cannot even delete all previous versions. I have a SSD of 120gb C drive, and for some reason it only has 14gb left, zero games on it, barely any programs. I blame Windows for stuffing it full with old updates tbh as the only thing installed on it is basically Windows itself.

Yes, Windows 11 has too many useless processes running.

Linux is the way to go. You can set up your laptop (or an older one) to dual boot Linux and Windows 11 so you can try out the former while not losing the latter.

If machine wasnt proprietary and better at gaming I'd be willing to switch. I've hated windows since ME. If IT was up to me we'd still be using XP.

I know! And the whole "free upgrade" thing was always kind of sketch. I think this person said it best:

I haven't used an anti-virus in 90% of computer use over the last 30+ years and only ever gotten 1 virus. I just dont do stupid things online. And that includes back when I used to DL from Linewire and other peer to peer networks.
