Oh wow a newbie
Not that I've been into kpop long, for me it was since early 2017. I didn't find Shinee until a few months after though, and I was anticipating SuperM partly because Taemin and the NCT membrs being there, and when Super One was released they became my ults.

I found Taemin on April 16 2020. I dived into his Solo stuff.. it wasn't till a week or so later after looking at more details about him outside of his albums and Music Videos that I found out he was in groups.. lol

I found SuperM first but ofc right after SHINee on the same day. My heart was already set that id loved these groups no matter bc Taemin by then had already claimed my heart... My everything even... and my ultimate bias spot, But despite that I would still love these groups. Super Talented and Amazing Members in both.

I have always bought just 1 version, the only time i went above that was with 3 of a.c.es latest album

His solo career is so big that you could definitely be mistaken into thinking he's a soloist, hes really amazingly successful both in solos and groups. I love him in both too, his solo songs are generally really good and his dancing and performance is amazing.

Yes!! I completely agree! I also love him in both groups and as a soloist. He is Beyond words... I am so proud of all he has done.. I love him so much.

I just started collecting, so we'll see if it's important to get all versions.

When it comes to merch, I prefer to get something general and maybe only 1-2 pieces of merch total.

oh nice! Happy Collecting! I used to never collect anything. Wanting to collect Taemin stuff is a first for me. I want it all.. Its bad. well not really bad but its like I have to have everything I can find.

if i go to a concert i buy stuff ofc lot of stuff......

I will by extra albums sometimes for the inclusions also. Taemin's most recent solo album Advice only has 1 version but I bought 5 of them to hopefully get most of the inclusions with it bc people sell those cards for as much or more than the album itself so sometimes its just cheaper to try your luck lol

I have never been to a concert. I love the merch that I see though from them. Hopefully one day I will be able to go to one.

I love collecting magazines bc of the pictures. I also have SHINee season greetings, calendar sets. I dont ever use them though they are just for collection purposes.

lol i have the 2020 of rv and snsd at work and i have not been to the office since march of 20.
such nice sets.

never thought we would be gone more than a month but ppl just want to be afraid.

to answer your question Sammi, I only get one version and usually a limited/special if there is one because there's more inclusions and with limited they can be worth a lot after a while... especially YG likes to release a lot of limited stuff for BP so I'm getting all of these

Yes Limited is nice! But only japanese vers have the limited for SHINee and Taemin..

That's understandable. There are times where I have to pass up certain things that I want bc of money being tight.

For groups like Exo who have Chinese and Korean versions I will/would buy both for obvious reasons.. But generally I don't buy versions that have no discernable difference in music. Even if the US started having stores dedicated to sale of kpop albums I still would only buy one version of most albums... But given the fact that a k-pop store in the US would be in a niche market, the price would likely be as high as it is purchasing k-pop albums online.

HINT HINT: Its not really that expensive in many cases in and of itself. Its the shipping that is the b***h... But still the basic economic processes would be in place that would make a local k-pop store have expensive albums and merch, as it should.
