Jae apologises for his inappropriate comment towards Jamie (1 Viewer)

I was asking why no one was discussing Jessi´s controversial scandals here, but why everyone is quick to do so with Jae. I was just being curious. I am sure she is dragged in other places. perhaps it is just a momentary feeling but it feels like people are finer with Jessi´s behaviour whenever she is calling a man sexy etc. but if a man did it it would be sexist (now I am drifting away from the topic) but I am just showing how the standards are different.
I found it odd how often people were saying how it is terrible for a man to say it. which I thought (and was assured) was meant to take as if "woman" says that term it is okay. apparently it is and my understanding of it is a bit different, but it is why we discuss things.

no one is discussing jessi's controversial behaviour here because this thread was made with the intent to show jae's apology for what jae did so i don't think it's right to bring up other celebrities whose actions are also considered controversial because they have nothing to do with the situation between jae and jamie. no one made a thread on jessi's behaviour, possibly because not many users on here follow what she does and jae just had another controversy a short time ago so obviously him messing up once again is going to create a bigger discussion especially since jamie spoke up about it.

i see, sorry for the misunderstanding then. well it was some time ago and it's possible that many users that are here to discuss jae's behaviour were simply not active on KS during any of jessi's controversies especially the colorist remarks towards tzuyu, but i feel like in general jessi's actions have not reached as much people as jae's recent controversies which happened in a close time period to one another. and there is also jamie speaking up on the whole thing which is why no one can say it was just a joke between friends and i assume that is the main argument people could use to defend jae.

yeah, I mean her speaking up about it clearly and openly would certainly help us stop speculating about whether it was just a banter and how far Jae went or whether he was being inappropriate and rude. I am not 100% on his side, I just want to clarify it, but I do feel that he was judged a bit too harshly. still, the best think for him would have been if he just took some proper time off from all the kpop mess and enjoyed some good vacation but doing it now, it would just seem all suspicious and he would be accused of running away. ah Jae what have you got yourself into :/

perhaps you are right about Jessi. I am not an expert on female groups so I was interested to see the point of view of those who are. I am just a bitter fan who liked Jessi and just had to ditch her because she is .... wayyyyy too much.

I think Jae is just took engrossed in Twitch culture and doesn't realise how only people on Twitch understand the behaviour there as there is give and take with streamers and the chat like chat will mock the streamer if something bad happens and the streamer will bite back at that.

Jamie is not part of Twitch to my knowledge though so she would have no understanding of that kind of joking around unless there was that kind of behaviour prior between the two which clearly there wasn't and he should have known better.

I'm not here to make a verdict on whether Jae is actually misogynistic as I don't have enough information about that however at the very least it was a stupid thing to do and his apology seems shallow because he 100% knew what the word meant from his reaction but whether he actually meant to hurt her feelings is another question.

I have brought her up because I have seen at least three threads about Jae in the past days but none about Jessi ... like ever whenever it was the Twice scandal or whatever else before. so I was just curious why are people on here so quick to criticize Jae. I just wonder why, I know she gets criticized on other forums and places, but not here.

i think its just that people here dont really keep up with jessi much? i rarely see anyone mention her here at all unless its about cards lol but she definitely gets her fair share of criticism on twitter (and maybe other forums too idk). like eclipse said, jae was called out for something just a couple weeks ago + he recently left day6 so its still fresh in everyone's memories i guess

agh, I really hated "Cold Blooded" tbh, she went a bit too far, her older stuff was so much better. the lyrics were just like WHAT AM I LISTENING TO? reminded me a bit of when I liked the "slumber party" by ashnikko until I heard the whole song. my innocent ears :D
