Typical Anime is ~20 minutes per episode. Typical K-Drama is ~65. Most Anime last for a single season of 13-26 episodes. Most K-Drama last around 16 episodes.
For Anime that are one season and last 26 episodes... that is between 8 and 9 hours in real time. For K-Dramas it would be around 17 hours in real time for the minimum. Lets not forget that some dramas last 20 episodes and a few last 50 episodes. There's this drama I was watching quite a few years ago called A Hundred Years Inheritance that I am unlikely to finish given the fact that its 50 episodes.
Back to my point: Dramas are like soap operas. It takes forever for anything to happen. Like seriously, the only way to watch a soap opera is by binging. Or else you will get annoyed at the pace of the storyline.. and waiting months for something to happen... Whereas with anime you could watch 10 episodes and feel like you've watched 100 with all that has occurred.
So really in terms of attention and duration I think anime is better. And really anime isn't as monochromatic as dramas are. While there are dramas that focus on other things, most of the popular dramas are maudlin. Whereas you can look at popular animes that appeal to those who care and don't care about romance. Do you care about romance? Well go watch Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket... If you don't go watch Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Haikyu, prince of tennis, or Hajima no ippo...
