Least Favorite Music Genres And Why? (1 Viewer)

What is your least favorite music genre? Why?



Personally, I do not like country or modern rock. Country has just never really sat well
with me, I sort of hear every voice and sounding the same, same twang in the voice and
the general meaning of the songs doesn't appeal to me. I just find it repetitive.

As for modern rock, some bands I like and listen to liked Avenged Sevenfold but the other
ones have just gotten too loud and "scream" a bit too much. It doesn't sound like music anymore
imo, it just feels like a yelling match with musical instruments. But that's just my opinion.

Country. Dear lord. Those cowboy ballads are the death of my ears. With their tonal lilts and their beers and their women waiting at their houses.

I do like folk, though. Especially British folk music.

American pop hip-hop, those mainstream songs coming from rappers like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Chris Brown, etc. Can they NOT create songs that involves partying, sex, their lavish lifestyles, and seeing women as b*tches made for sex? Bro, same old rhetorics again and again that they’re no longer edgy.

It depends on the subgenre of rock for me, modern or not. I dislike post-punk, punk rock, death rock, for heavy metal it depends entirely on the band itself, etc.

Country and pop-rap. I like hip hop but it's particularly pop-rap that I despise... its melodies are extremely cheesy and lyrical themes superficial.

Heavy metal or screamo is fine but often too intense for me. I can see myself enjoying it if I am in a certain mood (though I am rarely in that mood).
