As for the member run down:
Namjoon (RM) - The fearless and 200 IQ leader (no srsly that's his IQ (i'm not kiding (really))), an awesome rapper, has the cutest dimples and smile, had the worst hair ever in their debut days. Also my bias. He wrote and produced a lot of their songs too
Suga - The second rapper of the group, raps hella fast (seeing as you liked Ddaeng listening to his solo... you'd probably love it it's called Agust D). looks really bored and dead half the time, acts like it too, but can be squishy and loves his members very much, also writes and produces a lot
J-Hope - The third rapper, isn't as experienced as the other two but... he's learned a lot, is a great dancer, sunshine of the group, endlessly smiling and being positive, he's your hope, your his hope, he's J-Dope.
Jin - The visual of the group, loves calling himself worldwide handsome, makes the best (worst) dad jokes ever, has a really funny laugh, get's picked on even by the youngest, isn't the best dancer or singer but he tries and can really outshine the others sometimes tbh
Jimin - @Jimin you do this i wouldn't give my bias wrecker enough of an introduction
Jungkook - The main vocal, squishy and hot at the same time, Harry Styles of BTS (lol), voice of an angel, is savage af and a bit annoying at times, still love him tho, also the maknae
V - The face of the group and handsomest man on earth, is basically a visual, unlike the other vocalists is a baritone and has a really unique husky voice that he sometimes has to overuse for their songs. Is quite the allarounder, the purest being on this planet, literal saint, i can't even with him... he's such a good boy i literally can't idk how he isn't my bias tbh. Loves gucci. Is also a giant dork

Another reason to stan BTS... they are sooo funny. I was literally cried and I smiles watching them. Everyone says they really have nice personalities and the best chemistry as a group. I recommend Bon voyage, or you can just search for funny videos with them. But the interesting thing is, they had a really sad beginning. Most of them had money problems, they almost disbanded, nobody thought a small group from a nugu (at that time) company can survive.

And yes, there are rituals. Once you stan, you can’t unstan. They are absolutely lovable and hardworkers

I feel like everyone already shared some amazing songs and I'm sure it can be overwhelming to see all of these at once lol! So, I'll just focus on the members/elaborate on what @RainbowDevil said.

RM / Kim Namjoon (previously Rap Monster) -

• leader / main rapper
• Education: Apgujeong High School; Global Cyber University – Electronic engineering major (bachelor). Has an extremely high IQ like @RainbowDevil said.
• Studied/lived in New Zealand for 6 months.
• Taught himself English with the help of watching Friends, etc.
• He is the only member left of the original line-up.
• He's very playful and chill/relaxed despite his sort-of tough image he could put out. He's an absolute goofball and has a tendency to accidentally break whatever he touches and thus nicknamed "God of Destruction".
• Seems to be 100% done with the rest of BTS about 50% of the time and it's hilarious. Especially when they're in America.
• He has composed/produced 100+ songs.
• Pre-debut he had already been performing as an underground rapper, with several tracks released informally, including a collaboration with Zico (Block B).

Suga / Agust D / Min Yoongi -

• Lead rapper
• Hobbies: Doing nothing when he has free time, taking photos, avoiding having to do work, sleeping. On his days off he's called Motionless Min. The members often call him “grandpa” because he sleeps all the time and can be cranky. Yep, he's so relatable it's great.
• 3 things he likes: sleeping, quiet places, places with no people. 3 things he dislikes: dancing, loud places, places where there are people crowding around.
• Education: Global Cyber University – Liberal Arts Major (bachelor)
• He was an underground rapper and was in a group called D-Town. Suga has been making/producing music since he was 13.
• His personality is very straightforward/blunt and sometimes he can come off kind of intimidating but he's actually also very sweet and goofy. ♥
• He struggled with severe depression and openly brought that up in his solo album.
• He also produced songs for other artists. Suga produced Suran‘s chart-topping pre-release track “Wine” which has sold over 500,000 digital downloads.
• Suga comes from a poor family. In an interview he disclosed: “After we debuted, I went back to the dorm and sat there blankly staring. I could not believe me, a kid from a poor Daegu family, would be able to make it.”

J-Hope / Hobi / Jung Hoseok -

• Main Dancer, Rapper, Sub Vocalist
• Education: Gwangju Global High School; Global Cyber University
• Chose the name “J-Hope” as his stage name because he wants to be a source of light and hope to his fans.
• He used to hate doing aegyo but seems to have since changed his mind lol
• Pre-debut J-Hope was a part of a street dance team called NEURON. He won an underground dance battle and even performed at a festival. When he was younger he was quite famous in the Gwangju dance underground.
• He is very bright and energetic, and likes to laugh a lot. He has this amazing energy that always seems to effect everyone in a good way. Very friendly and always smiley. Seems to be one of the mood makers of BTS. Very goofy and sometimes weird but it's great lol.

Jin / Kim Seokjin -

• vocalist / visual
• the oldest member!
• Education: Konkuk University; Hanyang Cyber University – Films major (masters/graduate)
• Jin’s nicknames are: Fake Maknae, Worldwide Handsome, Eat Jin
• Lmfao he likes pink and disney princesses, though his favorite color has apparently been changed to blue.
• He's freaking amazing at cooking and flat out loves to cook. And eat. Loves loves loves to eat. He'll have V-LIVES where he just... eats and chats lol.
• Before being street casted for auditions, he had been a student at Konkuk University, majoring in acting.
• He’s from a well-off family. His father is the CEO of a company.
• He’s very confident about his looks, especially about his tick lower lip and his broad shoulders.
• Known for his infamous dad jokes lmfao he's relentless.

Jungkook / Jeon Jeongguk-

• Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Sub Rapper, Center, Maknae
• Attended Seoul performing art high school, he graduated in February 2017.
• Jungkook's hobbies include video editing (Golden Closet Films), photography, discovering new music and making covers.
• He makes amazing covers! A cover king.
• In 10 years Jungkook wants to be the owner of a duck meat restaurant or a tattooist.
• In middle school, he went to Superstar K auditions (where he sang IU’s ‘Lost Child’) but failed to pass the elimination round. On the way back home, he received offers from eight different entertainment agencies.
• Jungkook nicknames are Jeon Jungkookie, Golden Maknae, Kookie and Nochu.
• He thinks he’s a pro gamer and can play on two computers at once.
• He's really kind and quiet about half the time and then simply wild/weird/crazy about the other half the time lol! He's basically the meme king of the group as he'll do the strangest (but amazing) things. Very devious and sometimes a punk to the other members but it's funny shit.

V / Kim Taehyung -

• Lead Dancer, Vocalist, Visual
• V’s nicknames are: TaeTae, Blank Tae (because he always have a blank expression) and CGV (since his visuals are so perfect and outstanding like the computer game character)
• Known as having a 4D personality but personally I think he's calmed down quiet a bit the older he's gotten.
• He is one of the mood makers of BTS alongside J-Hope.
• V comes from a poor family: “I came from a poor family and I never thought I would become famous.” He grew up under a family of farmers and often takes pictures of the farm they own. He revealed in an interview with ‘The Star,’ “[Being an idol is] a lucky chance that will only come once in a lifetime. If I wasn’t in BTS I would probably be a farmer. I’d be pulling out weeds from a farm with my grandmother.”
• Acted in the Korean drama “Hwarang” (2016-2017). V sang the OST of “Hwarang” alongside Jin, which is Part 2 – “It’s Definitely You”.
• As of December 2017, V got a new puppy, his name is Yeontan and it’s a black Pomeranian Teacup.
• Very friendly and oftentimes weird (though calmed down), cheerful, whimsical

Jimin / Park Jimin -

• Main dancer / lead vocalist
• His well known nickname is "Chim chim" which he affectionately received in American Hustle Life by "Tony".
• He gets teased a lot for being the shortest member of the group (about 5'8'/173.6cm).
• He entered Busan High School of Arts as the top student in modern dance. His dancing history had a focus on ballet/contemporary/etc.
• Was also a valedictorian (highest ranked student aka no.1) and was class president for 9 years.
• He used to be very harsh on himself for his weight in BTS' earlier days but has since then improved. ♥
• However, he's still sensitive about his singing/voice and can be quite harsh on himself when he feels he messed up, etc. Jimin 100% understands that he needs work to on his voice. He shows he always wants to improve and I admire that. And you know what? He has improved over the years and I'm sure he'll continue to do so.
• He has originally wanted to be a police man!
• While he's a firecracker and absolutely sinful on stage, hes also quite adorable and sometimes shy off stage (yet mischievous all the same). He's caring, courteous, oftentimes a goofball, and overall appears to have a very good soul. Yet, he can appear petty at times. But you know, I think that's just part of his charm. The pettiness is something I find entertaining as hell. He takes care of the other members well and there's some evidence of that if you're interested in seeing some videos ♥.
• He is close friends with SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Kai, VIXX's Ravi, Wanna One's Sungwon, and HOTSHOT's Timoteo.
