This doesn't surprise me a huge amount as Wheein seemed to be having issues with being an idol and if she's not in Mamamoo I'd be surprised if she is that active

Can't say this is totally unexpected, I always figured she might not want that active idol life anymore. Hopefully Mamamoo can still have group activities with Wheein included although they very much feel like 4 soloists rn.

Usually but this is weirder as Wheein said at one of her things for Water Colour that she wanted to focus on Mamamoo this year and Wheein is more comfortable promoting with Mamamoo than being a soloist.

Afaik, no idol not signed to the original agency(exceptions might be Shinhwa/JYJ/Highlight n maybe g.o.d./H.O.T. or others) hv continued as part of an idol grp active promotions after leaving the original agency.As a SONE i was heavily researching/chkg out if it had happened b4, but id be happy if Wheein/MMM/RBW is the first i know of for it to happen(i dont count B.E.G./T-ara who might hv promoted/sang but dint hv rlly active promotions, im still waiting for SNSD OT8, hell even OT5/Oh!GG cb.

So id be highly surprised if such a thing happens here. Pleasantly surprised but still surprised.

It's possible but there's also the thought of what this would mean for Mamamoos direction which could be the more telling part of this if Wheein does leave RBW.

Yeah although it's not final yet so maybe Wheein will still resign and if she actually doesn't then it'll come down to what she does whether it's believable that she'll still really be part of Mamamoo as if she signs with another company it'll become much harder but if she just takes a step back from idol life and only really returns for Mamamoo then that'd be more believable.

We’ll see how often Mamamoo will promote at all, especially with Wheein. I really love them so I hope they pull it off.
