its just too long i know Covid has been a disruptor but something feels weird. like they are afraid.

Well atleast they're investing into this SMCU stuff tho how long that lasts before they drop it and never bring it up again is up in the air. But once they start releasing physicals I do believe there's a big fandom waiting to buy Aespa stuff so SM will probably be pleased with the results.
