NCT Universe
Jan. 14, 2023

A (mostly) daily round-up of everything happening in the NCT Universe.
What's included: tour news, appearances, cfs, performances, news.
What's not included: IG updates unless there's something highly pertinent, merch drops unless something highly pertinent like a new CF.

NCT Dream:

• NEW PHOTOSHOOT: Jaemin in the cover of Marie Claire Korea
• I don’t usually post merch but I think this is too funny: now you too can buy some big ass Candy mittens
• Jisung posted that he spent time with his family in Japan.
•

• NEW CONTENT: graduation recording behind the scenes (with Eng subs)

NCT 127:

• Ilichil wrapped up the US leg of their tour in a sold out show in Atlanta. Both Jaehyun and Taeyong were visibly feeling better with higher energy levels.
• Johnny, Taeyong and Jungwoo hopped in an IG Live after the show, as well as making a hotel room TikTok.
• The entire group also hopped on TikTok about an hour ago.
• Ay-yo spoilers from the IG Live: Skyscraper sounds like Lemonade and Johnny is “very angry on the track”; DJ is like Stevie Wonder; they took the teaser pix without hearing the song or knowing the concept (LOL); Doyoung said there are pix of members who stripped off their shirts playing football (I think we all know who these are 🤣)
• You can find all the latest updates on Ay-Yo in its comeback thread.
• Streets are saying they’re flying from Atlanta to Brazil (at least they’re not flying from Atlanta to Korea to Brazil for the next leg of the tour. (I hope they’re not going to try fly Jaehyun to Milan for fashion week - that’s too much for someone who was just sick.)
• Johnny and Mark went snowboarding (both posted on their IG, so upcoming JCC?)
•

• NEW CF: New back to school promo from Puma on the way.
•

• NEW CF:
•

• NEW PERFORMANCE: Kick It + Sticker for SMTOWN, jump here for the thread from @Jewel

WayV:

• NEW CONTENT: new episode of the Phantom Thief (with Eng subs)
•

• NEW CONTENT: Roommate battle (with Eng subs)
•

• NEW INTERVIEW: great interview for Dazed magazine (in English)

Cross-Unit (including Rookies):

•

• NEW PERFORMANCE: all NCT units at MBC compilation
•

• NEW CONTENT: The Cure behind the scenes (featuring SM leaders, so TY, Kun and Mark), jump here for the thread from @MinjuChu

Biggest Hit on This Stage (Charts, Awards, Milestones):

• Jaemin reached 11M followers on IG. 🍾
• Ay-Yo is over 100K on ktown4u charts.
• NCT has six albums in the year end Circle chart: 🍾
  • #5 - Glitch Mode

  • #11 - Beatbox
  • #13 - Candy
  • #68 - Universe (NCT all unit from last year)
  • #85 - Candy SMC (the new format like Kihno)
• The SMTOWN winter album, which is Neo-heavy, is also in the charts at #29.
• Forever Only reaches 10M streams on Spotify just from me 😬 🍾
• Taeyong reaches 1.8M for monthly listeners for the second consecutive year. He’s the first member to do so. 🍾

• Candy is down to #10 on the Melon charts, Graduation is down to #98
• ROAD TO 100M 🏃‍♂️ Try Again 96.9M, Baby don't Stop 95.4M, Hot Sauce 92.? (I’m on my phone and not laptop and can’t see this number)

Neo's Got My Fact:
DYK Taeil was the only SM male soloist to reach 100M Digital points on the Circle chart? That’s all on the basis of his one OST song! (He reached 127M!)
