If TWICE really wants to change their images and sound, a unit would be a good start. They just don't have the time for it.

I don't expect all of the members to renew for more than a couple of years.

BP and RV will end when one or two members leave.

Either Red Velvet or Twice, but I don't think it will be any time soon.

Red Velvet is relatively small in number and doesn't really call for a subunit, so SM will probably promote them together or solo like they do with SHINee and f(x).

Twice is definitely a group that is more powerful together, but I can see them put out a subunit later in their careers.

A subunit from either group would be interesting.

I would think Twice since they have more members and with a sub unit could try different concepts and sounds that they haven’t been able to explore as a group.

I think Twice will pull off a subunit in the near future but I don't see RV or BP doing anything like it, although I'd really like to see WenSeul or Joy x Wendy x Seulgi.

Twice. Red Velvet and Blackpink have too little members, and even if Red Velvet wanted to make a vocal unit, that would only be possible if the members renew their contracts. The chances of all of the members renewing is very slim, but it could happen regardless. JYP artists usually renew, contrary to SM.

SM most renew to 10. With many well over/ pushing 15 atm from tvxq and sj. Heck over half of snsd is at 12 what are you on?

Twice would probably benefit most from sub-group, they are largest group and subgroup would give change for some members to show their talents more and explore concepts. I feel like it's more likely that Blackpink and Red Velvet will keep doing solo stuff instead of sub unit stuff since their groups are rather small in the first place.

Would be easier for Twice since they have 9 members and can have like 3 subunits doing 3 tracks with different concepts/sounds. They could try by first having them do B-sides on an album before branching off and releasing MVs and stuff.

jyps girl groups didn't even finish the first contract intact yet. Why you would compare them is beyond me. the bg are a different matter.

snsd did renew together for all the good that does btw :) As did fx since suili stayed at sm.
