Indeed. K-pop group members are obviously put together and spend SO much time together before debut and after that I believe members develop a close friendship/relationship with each other. However, naturally some members are closer with one another than others. The larger the group the more they'll naturally develop more personal friendships/relationships with certain members.

JiYoo really do seem very close. One moment that was so endearing between the two was during JiU's birthday fan meeting when video messages of the members was shown and JiU literally reached out and stroked Yoohyeon's cheek. That kind of natural gesture can't be "manufactured" (for the sake of fan service) and seemed very real.

This was adorable and you are right, it does seem really genuine and not fake.
If there is any fakeness, then it is tiny compared to how real it is!

Also I love these birthday fanmeetings! It was so sweet when the members sent her messages.
