Amber was being ignorant but I don't think she was being racist. I hate the idea that we should 'cancel' her because of remark that she made which that doesn't tell us a single thing about her personality or even her stance towards racism. She wasn't even commenting on race when she was talking about the issue. It's been blown up by twitter.

Oof this was a bit surprising ngl, Amber always seemed like a smart woman and someone more exposed to the western world compared to idols who've been born and brought up in Korea for their entire lives, so I wouldn't expect her to make a remark like this in the first place.

basically she was on a podcast?? where they watched that guy get arrested for eating a sandwich on a train platform. and she said "he deserved it" but in a really terrible way. i wish the idiots didn't privatize the video bc the full context would've helped.

as much as i agree that cancel culture sucks, she said something terrible. she said something lacking empathy. she didn't even bother to think about how the guy was feeling being harassed for eating a sandwich. i'm not cancelling her. im just holding her accountable.

I don't think her comment was racist or intended to be, but it was a stupid thing to say, especially for someone born and brought up in LA.

yea eating is banned in the area. the guy said he doesn't see any signs and i think that's bc they were in an area without signs. according to the officer he asked them twice and when the guy continued eating he asked for identification to give him a citation. which the guy refused to do so the officer said he was going to arrest him.

one of my co workers was in Singapore and they arrest folks for having durian stuff on the train because it stinks so much.

i personally have gotten tickets for crossing the street on a green light in the cross walk. (finished the crossing while the light was green btw. Oh and those are points on you license just like speeding lol)
Ya take the ticket and talk to the Judge. its a ticket.

Have been pulled over many times post 12 am its not hard be chill do what they ask

the thing is, there are so many cases of cops singling out specifically black people for bogus claims. there's this one of a guy who was picking up trash outside his dorm with one of those pointy picks and cops came to him and pulled a gun on him. they claimed he had a weapon. he was CLEARLY picking trash. would this happen to someone who wasn't black? honestly i don't know but i'm leaning towards it wouldn't because it seems like something that constantly happens to one race. that's why so many black people don't comply with cops.

from this guys perspective he didn't see any signs out there, so should he believe them? i don't know. i feel like arresting someone for eating a sandwich is so ludicrous. even if he's breaking a rule, just take a photo and say he's going to be banned or something. they could've handled it several ways.

i just think amber wasn't really looking at it from the guys perspective. he's not being disobedient just for kicks. this is during a time where a black man and woman were shot by cops in their homes doing absolutely nothing but minding their own business. it's hard to understand someone's decisions when that is the reality they face.
